I think realistically these would all have some form of bat-vehicle in them- for any non-SW theme, lego seems to think hero vehicles sell better than villain ones (and they might totally be right, I don't have the sales numbers, but I just feel like people would want villain vehicles to fight the hero ones), but other than that I totally agree.

They are called Arsenal because the original team was formed by workers at the Royal Arsenal at Woolwich. The Royal Arsenal made all kinds of ordnance which attracted the nickname the Gunners. Round about the 1970s and 1980s there used to be gangs or 'firms' of supposed fans who would be violent, and Arsenal's 'firm' was known as the 'Goon Squad'. This becomes Gooners from rival gangs. The fans claimed ownership of the nickname for themselves when all that stupid behaviour eased off. There's no guarantee because it's urban myth, but I wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprised if the Goon name came from the Goon Show, a very popular British radio comedy show of the 1950s, which in turn got it's name from Alice the Goon from Popeye (1930s if you're keeping score). Either that or it's directly from the Middle English word for an albatross, which became an insult by the 1920s. In the 1940s the word came to be a nickname for the German guards of prisoner of war camps. I don't have one for the remaining decades of the 20th century I'm afraid.

Reminds me of a great DC Comic run that only lasted a few issues from the 90's, The Gooner Squad I think it was called, the team was led by Amanda Gooner and the team had a code name called Task Force Goon, you guys should give it a read, very underrated imo.

Thankfully, I think the cmf sinestro pieces help add some arm and leg detail.

It's part of someone's username on here. I would wager that the football connotation and the Australian slang term are more widely known than a very recent Urban Dictionary reference.

Well, I have almost every Batman animation movie, all the LIVE-ACTION movies where we have batman.

In 1 animation movie... yes! Batman teams up with... well you know who, fabulous 4 ... and of course their BOSS. Against, well you know who... Shredddddddd......eeee.e.e..e.e.e.e.e......r.r.r.r.r.rr......rrrrr.... YES!

AND .... 1 of my favourite movies, BECAUSE there is this moment when these 4 turtles are lost in Gotham City sewers... BUT then FINALLY!!! They found the Batcave. By the way I also love Damian Wayne.

My dream come trough MOVIE / LEGO theme - would be to combine: Batman, Turtles and Ghostbusters ... in Gotham City. AGAINST Shredder who has done a deal with ghosts. Slimer and others. NOW batman rogue gallery would have to team up to survive... as a 1 BIG Mafia. So there would be 3 factions,,, who would all fight against each other from the Gotham City.

1. Shredder + Ghosts (Base: Unknown)
2. Batman + TMNT & Splinter + Ghostbusters (BASE: The Batcave)
3. Mafia (Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Scarecrow, Bane, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze... and the list goes on..... BASE: Jokerland or Arkham Asylum)

I don't remember Batman (or Phil Spector, for that matter) being in the Yellow Submarine film! Deleted scene perhaps?

But seriously: @legoturtle what you propose would never happen. I believe Universal owns the Ghostbusters franchise, whereas Batman is DC / Warnes Bros., and TMNT was bought by Nickelodeon. Having said that, they have been backdoor cameos of TMNT in Teen Titans GO! but we don't talk about that show because it's basically making fun of EVERYTHING everybody in this thread holds dear, I.E. DC.

We have a higher chance of seeing LEGO sets based off the unmodified version of the Joker's death scene from 'The Return of the Joker' film from the Batman Beyond franchise than ever seeing that proposed film grace our screens.

I don't like Teen Titans GO!, I think it's a pretty bad show, but to give it SOME credit, it's the only moderately successful DC cartoon put out in the past decade among actual kids. It's brainrot style manages to get some views, and if it can draw kids into the DC universe, I can tolerate it.... so long as we get some actual quality cartoons alongside it. 

Which saying that, it continues to amaze me how little Teen Titans content we get from Lego. You think they'd be pumping out TT set after TT set since, like I said, it's the only popular DC kids cartoon ATM, but nothing.

Well, the Shadow Box is very difficult to MOC. Also I don't have that many parts. ANYWAY... I meant I like Damian Wayne look NOT attitude. If I get this MOC ready... I will create IG account and put images there. BUT progress so far, mmmm.... maybe 33 %. So lots of work a head.

We saw TMNT with Batman in animation movie. We could see them together in LEGO set. Think about it. We have LEGO DC, Batman, TMNT, Ghostbusters... even Ideas?

The Turtles and Batman share the same universe rather than different universes/realities as in the comic book miniseries, which removes said miniseries' plot point of the Turtles' desperate need to return to their own universe, as staying in the DC universe will end up killing them, because the mutagen that created them is considered an anomaly.

But yes. The more I see of Turtle the more I think that he is a master strategist on par with Grand Admiral Thrawn and Lex Luthor. (if you are not a SW fan and don’t know who the former is)

He’s carefully calculated and predicted our every move. He is in full control of the battlefield.
