Caped Crusader looks awesome. I’m glad I have the Golden Age Batman from the CMF. It would be awesome to get figs of Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Clayface.

This is an astonishingly mature-sounding show, which is both good and bad news. It seems like it'll be good- it almost feels like they're setting it up as a more colorful Dark Knight type story- but I don't know if this is gonna get sets. What's the rating on it?

I guess. I kind of get what they were going for- what she'd look like in that 40's batman style- but I don't think they needed to ditch red and black altogether. It does seem to be a different take on the character though- joker isn't even mentioned in the article, is he? So I'm fully on board to not have to listen to the grating, baby-talk Harley a lot of  stuff has had.

Read the article- it's setting a pretty dark and mature tone. I don't think this is going to be the kid-friendly series that regains interest in Batman. We might get a few sets- his batmobile, an 18+ set or two, etc, but no way a whole wave, unless this initial article is making the series significantly more mature than it'll actually be.

Something I've thought about for some time is how cool would it be if a show did this, ran through the long halloween, and then Harvey doesn't become two face? Would absolutely shatter people's expectations.

I don't know what this means. 

Something about joker in this show? I'm sure he'll show up, but the articles don't mention him. I don't know what you'd be talking about there.
 

The jokers in other properties being too mature? I wouldn't say Nicholson's joker was, and while Ledger's joker definitely had an edge to him, he's also never shown up in a non-18+ set.

I am saying that even the MOVIE is scary or a bit violent. LEGO can still make sets from it. Batman movies from Burton and Nolan are good examples. That TV show can be a bit dark BUT if it is popular, LEGO will notice it.

AND even more BIGGER QUESTION? is how this is related to BTAS... we got 2 sets from that show... in 2024? ... hmm... MAYBE this is just a test. How people react AND when we buy a lots of ART sets and Batmobile sets. Well MAYBE just maybe LEGO will notice this. Marvel goes DOWN ... yes! meanwhile DC goes up!

so we have a new Batman Animated series in August,  and the new Superman movie next year.  it could be a very healthy set of releases next year! 

what other content do we know is getting released?

That new 8 in 1 brickheads set sounds pretty cool if brickheads are your thing.

You can build:

-Blue and grey comic suit

-Adam West

-Micheal Keaton 

-Animated Series 

-Christian Bale

-Ben Affleck B vS Armored suit

-Lego Batman movie

Earlier leaked pictures had him as two face, but they also labled that picture of Harleen as Renee Montoya, so take it with a grain of salt. It could be this version's Carmine Falcone

I still need to see a bit more of this show before I'm sold, but I'm very happy to see Catwoman in her classic purple and green costume. That's a very underrated design which has been forgotten in a lot of modern versions. I'd love to get a minifigure version some day, but I don't expect this show to get sets.

Loving the look of Caped Crusader. I'd love to get those versions of Catwoman, Harley Quinn and Clayface in minifigure form. Hopefully we get something out of it even if its just another Batmobile.

That's fun, though I have little faith in them pulling off the armored suit- it certainly won't look metallic. Hope it's like Go Brick Me where there's enough to build two full figures.

I'd caution we're unlikely to get anything for Caped Crusader off the bat- I know it's batman, but lego rarely makes sets for adult-focused animated series, and while I doubt CC will be TV-MA, I still expect the most we'll get is a batmobile or 18+ set or two in 2026 at the earliest. Would love to be proven wrong, though.

Yeah- realistically speaking, a "wave" of superman sets is 1-2 system sets, a mech, and/or a buildable figure.

I bought my first Brickheadz. It stands on top of Shadow Box and looks AMAZING! Believe me... That 8 in 1 set is a dream come true. I think LEGO still love's DC. Think about it... how different kinds of sets we have got in 2020-2024.

This means that I will buy 8 sets. About 120 € ... it is ok. I will take all of them to LEGO fair here in Finland. (the most ARCTIC country in the world).

Nonsense. Judging by the context of the show, it is VERY unlikely. Moreover, I highly doubt that it was Timm's idea from the very beginning. And if it was, I am pretty sure it is rejected by now due to the show's plot.
