Well, I would love to hear other people CUSTOM DC UNIVERSES... it is a part of this hobby.

Since we’re going for custom head canons apparently… here’s mine:

The bat-fam is limited to: Batman, Nightwing, Robin (Tim Drake), Signal, Batwoman, Batgirl (Barbara Gordan) and  Black Bat. Alfred is still alive.

A new wonder girl isn’t introduced every 5 seconds (Cassie Sandsmark maintains that title)

Lois Lane is running for president against Lex Luthor.

Kyle Rayner never stopped being a White Lantern and eventually joined the JL Incarnate. Both Hal Jordan and Jessica Cruz are the primary GLs on the Justice League. The other human lanterns are headliners in GLC run.

The JL roster is: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern (x2), Hawkgirl, Aquaman, Shazam, Vixen, Cyborg and Firestorm.

The Titans roster is: Nightwing, Batgirl, Superboy (Kon El), Zatanna, Wally West, Miss Martian, Kyle Rayner, Troia and Aqualad (Kaldur).

The Teen Titans roster is: Robin, Beast Boy, Raven, Speedy, Impulse, Wonder Girl, Supergirl and Blue Beetle. (Jaime Reyes)

Legion of Doom roster is: Lex Luthor, Sinestro, Black Manta, Reverse Flash (It was me Barry!!!), Deathstroke, Circe and their malicious leader… Condiment King!

Darkseid and Scarecrow are part of the Yellow Lantern Corps.

The Arkham patients actually receive decent help. But in the Joker’s case: due to the large amount of encounters the GLs have had with him, Joker eventually gets taken to Oa where the Guardians imprison him in a science cell.

And now for my lore theory on why Lego DC is the way it is right now. Dr Manhattan wanted to do another experiment, like what caused the New 52, what he did was give every hero the Batman origin story and every major villain the Joker origin story. This frankly all led to all the heroes ending up as Batman and all the villains as Joker. Realising his mistake Dr Manhattan tried to fix it. But was stopped by an omnipotent inter-dimensional chaos deity called Brickheadz Joker.

Not bad, though I think Darkseid is above joining the Sinestro Corps, he might make it the Darkseid/Omega Corps

If we're doing full-blown headcanons, then I guess I'll drag up my old notes on Earth-44

The Justice League has two main teams, the public face, the main hitters, and the Justice League Covert, also known as the League's Black Ops.

The primary JLA consists of (in order of membership): Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash (Barry Allen), Green Lantern I (Hal Jordan), Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg, Shazam, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Hawkman, Vixen, and Captain Atom.

The JL Covert is led by John Stewart/Green Lantern II, Supergirl, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes), Red Robin, Black Bat, Mera, Red Tornado, and the "Secret Weapon", the third Green Lantern, Jessica Cruz.

Several heroes serve as outside allies of the Justice League. These include Ted Kord, Adam Strange, Ray Palmer, Kimiyo Hoshi, and Kyle Rayner (Earth's fourth Green Lantern).

The Titans consist of Nightwing, Starfire, Kid Flash, Beast Boy, Tempest, Omen, Bumblebee, Stargirl, and Arsenal. Troia, Raven, and Kyle Rayner rotate in and out of team membership, instead mostly serving as allies.

The Reverse Flash is responsible for creating the Injustice Society, as well as the Legion of Doom. The LoD serve to take the fall for the Society's plans. Later, Vandal Savage creates the Secret Society, adding members from Thawne's group, as well as his own.

The Society: Reverse Flash, Lex Luthor, Cheetah, Sinestro, Black Adam, Dark Archer, Deathstroke,  Ma'alefa'ak, and Ocean Master.

The Legion of Doom: Black Manta, Weather Wizard, Silver Banshee, Parasite, Blockbuster, The Riddler, Sportsmaster, Giganta, and Doctor Arthur Light.

The Secret Society: Vandal Savage, Circe, Ra's Al Ghul, Lex Luthor, Reverse Flash, Count Vertigo, Queen Bee, The Scarecrow.

Task Force X, formerly under the command of Amanda Waller, came under League control after Catwoman was recruited into the "Suicide Squad", forcing the Justice League's Covert Unit to stop Waller. Those that survived the ensuing confrontation were given a new purpose: redeeming themselves as a special JLA task force of reformed super-villains.

The Justice League's Task Force X would include Catwoman, Killer Frost, Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Man-Bat, Star Sapphire, and Anarky.

See Stephanie Brown for more information:

Spoiler

Amanda Waller's Suicide Squad (Operation Mouse Trap): Deadshot (working as a contact for Batman), Bronze Tiger, Harley Quinn, Killer Frost, Multiplex, Copperhead, Captain Boomerang, Catwoman.

Operation Mouse Trap was a JLA “honeypot” mission, baiting Amanda Waller into revealing Task Force X. When the Justice League announced the arrival of AMAZO at S.T.A.R. Labs’ DC location, Waller sent Deadshot and the Squad to retrieve it. In the ensuing League ambush - consisting of Batman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Black Bat, Jessica Cruz, Red Tornado, and Booster Gold - the members of the Suicide Squad lost their detonators due to the interventions of Flash and Martian Manhunter, before finally being given a choice: to join the League on a path to redemption, or to remain a pawn of Waller’s.

Waller, not knowing the bombs had been removed, attempted to kill all eight members of the Squad, but the blast was contained by one of Jessica’s constructs. Deadshot, Killer Frost, Boomerang, and Catwoman agreed to join the League, with Tiger and Quinn attempting to go it alone, and Copperhead and Multiplex choosing to return to prison. In time, the JLA Task Force X would go on to include multiple former supervillains on the path to redemption, including Man-Bat, Captain Cold, and Star Sapphire.

Eventually, Waller would create a new Suicide Squad, this time with the stated goal of hunting down the ex-communicated members and the Justice League.

There's a lot more, but in summation, it's really depressing to see DC basically get abandoned by Lego, when there's still a whole universe to explore.

And I don't think the knock offs are made anymore!  (I kid, never support those)

Thanks. I love your ideas too. Intriguing concept of the JL actually having a darker side than what the public is shown.

Honestly this is just making me think that maybe we should do a roleplay game similar to the SW forum’s mysteries. Where we create our own heroes or villains in a future where all the heroes have died.

My character would be a former British SAS commando who was recruited by the Legue of Assassins. He became estranged from them when R’as al Ghul tried to unleash a Nuclear Warhead on London. In risking his life to try and Disarm the bomb and save many innocent civilians a GL ring chooses him to be its host. With the situation being quickly resolved. Using his newly acquired GL power ring, combat skills and SF training he becomes a reluctant hero in a time when heroes are thought to be part of a bygone age. He is always haunted by the guilt of the actions he carried out for the League of Assasins. And is eternally trying to live up to the legacy of previous earth-born lanterns.

I’m thinking of the name William (Bill) Buckley.

Well Supergirl is set to release in June 2026.

Any odds we will get a one off set? If so, at least we can expect at least 4 sets for 2026 haha (One Supergirl set and 3 The Batman Part 2 Sets)

Sounds like Booster Gold will also be releasing in 2026. Is it too much to hope he gets shoved in a Batman comic set?

If they make a tie-in set for Lanterns I will die happy.

I don‘t think the odds are in our favour for show-based sets. When even the Marvel shows barely get any coverage outside of CMF series, what chance do DC shows stand? :shrug_oh_well: We should consider ourselves lucky if most of the DCU movies get sets!

Getting at least a single Superman set next year for the first time in seven (!) years will be enough to satisfy me honestly.

The expectations for this theme are so low that it's almost impossible not to be pleasantly surprised by anything they'll do with the start of the DCU.

Only if they don't go full Marvel and only give us movie sets. I actually liked how Lego DC was comics first. Maybe the new media will help put the license back on the map, but they better diversify with comic stuff.

Just thinking. Unlike the Spider-man Lego line (which was based off the Raimi movies), Lego Batman and the 2012 DC Super heroes reboot were almost entirely (with rare exceptions) inspired by comic books. It's a sad thing that Lego DC ceased realising decent comic-inspired sets since 2021's 40453 and the only hope for its revival is the upcoming Gunn's Superman and Reeves' The Batman 2 movies. Relying on movies and omitting comic books (with good reason, but still) is a very depressing sign... Lego Marvel doesn't care, they have the vast resources of the MCU, unlike DC... We are witnessing the downfall of classic comic books

DC already went full Marvel in the sense that 90% of the sets are movie based. It’s just less obvious because we barely get anything.

You're right to a degree, but I'm not complaining about the TBverse sets and figures, as those are (mostly) excellent. Plus, they're classic at this point.

What I would be against is only receiving Gunnverse sets and figures in the future. Lego Marvel is 50% MCU and 50% Spiderverse. I don't want to see 50% DCCU and 50% Batmanverse.

Surely, there's a happy medium. I do think that the brand has suffered because of no DC media (no cartoons, movies, or tv shows). If Warner Bros get their act together, I'm sure things have a shot at going back to normal.

Posted

At this stage I don't care if they go all in with movie sets. Anything that can help revitalize this theme is better than the pitiful state it's currently in.

Mine is essentially everything dc did in the 80s-90s with a few more modern additions, I also like having the earth two JSA, but i have to make some minifigs for that.

I think LEGO won't make Superman sets because Batman is number 1. There are quite many Superman figures and sets in DATABASE. BUT if you compare to batman it is night and day. So we might get 1-2 sets MAX.

Batman sets have been on the decline for the past five years, which is an indication that people lack interest in Batman. I think there’s a good chance that post Superman (2025), we’ll see Lego abandon Batman altogether and focus the theme around Superman. Especially with Supergirl set to release in 2026, it seems like the right time to shift the focus away from Batman. In other words, it’s time to Make Lego Super Again!

Superman might be in the movie but I reckon Bibbo will steal the spotlight, Lego Bibbo will be the new theme.

Also you say (bat)man is in decline but they recently revealed Barad-Dûr, Which might be the best The Lego Batman Movie set yet.

I wouldn't go so far as to say Batman is in decline, I think it's due to bad set choices, A wave like 2006-2008 or 2012 would do well

If they want to see better profits from Batman then they should focus on BTAS,TDKT and Comics, lots of potential with those, Batpod,Bane's Tumbler,Joker interrogation diorama with a new Bane,Two-Face and Catwoman, BTAS Batcave,Comic Batcave, UCS Arkham like the games, The Batman 2022 UCS Batmobile, Batman VS Superman Batmobile on stand like the 66 or BTAS one and many more, whoever is coming up with those choices is to be blamed for the lack of sales for Lego Batman

Watch Aquaman, Shazam, The Suicide Squad, and Superman. They all better than anything with Batman (and it’s not even close.)

Figures that the only good thing Batman related was stolen from the far superior Lord of the Rings franchise. They tried that last year with Flash and it backfired spectacularly. DC should have taken the hint that nobody wants Batman anymore.

I own:

2019
Joker

2022
The Batman

2023
The Flash

I would say for me The Batman is classic. Joker is not for me BUT it is quality movie. The Flash scenes where is Batman are 5/5.

2021
The Suicide Squad

I have heard that this is quite good. Respected. BUT those others I have not seen.

...

So TLG made 4 sets from The Batman. 1 of them was a polybag. No joker sets and the only Flash set got cancelled. So... but hey, let's be SUPER POSITIVE. If you collect Castle, Pirates, Space the reality is that those themes don't exist anymore. Still they have so many fans ... who still believe those themes will come back some day.
