I mean but that's like if I went "why does batman retire after killing Harvey Dent in TDK when he killed a ton of people in the burton films". It's a different continuity. Bloodsport in the DCEU is meant to be much more sympathetic, being the protagonist after all, so that's why I don't like it. There's a difference between rooting for a former assassin trying to protect his daughter and rooting for a guy who doesn't seem to have an issue with the fact that he just murdered a TON of people who were on his side.

I don't think I ever read those particular comics, but I believe you're mostly right. The issue isn't that he's actually a, you know, it's moreso that it's weirdly close to it, and Hal himself seems to recognize that but is still ok dating her.

That said, I can't believe we're all ignoring the fact that his canonical true enemy is a COLOR. And unlike the road sign (itself yellow) or the FBI, this was a pretty consistent thing with his character for awhile.

Doesn't Batman have superpowers like Spider-Man tho? I mean, there's a reason he's called Batman. That means that he's half bat, half man.

He definitely has to have some bat powers akin to Spider-Man's spider powers — flying, echolocation, hibernation? At least two of those have to be a thing according to my calculations.

Surely if he didn't have superpowers he'd just be called Manman, right?

There have been some undeniably questionable decisions made by DC over the years. Here, the man who flies like a bee apparently, was taking his newly acquired Lantern ring for a test flight. It ended badly when he connected with a yellow sign - yellow being the original weakness of the Green Lantern rings. Then he's getting overly friendly with a female alien, who to us Earthmen appeared to be a 13 year old and therefore acting inappropriately. However being a Graxonian being 13 was closer to being in her early 20s. To make matters more complicated she artificially aged herself to appear older so that our hero didn't feel uncomfortable being attracted to a young teenager. 

When you say you have the answer and then show a clip from that film, I can only assume that the question is "what film is the equivalent of watching your house burn down?"

the animated series batmobile, along with the other summer batman sets, have been delayed to August for some reason ☠️ I'm from America and I checked Lego's website. I wonder why they are getting delayed in NA. 

That June release date was so perfect....guess my fellow American peeps have to wait 2 more months 🥺

August seems to be a preferred release date for NA in general, that way Europe gets first crack at the summer waves in June. It varies year-to-year, theme-by-theme, but that's not uncommon.

Second Shadow Box. 1st was used BUT like a new condition. 2nd is coming from LEGO official store. REASON ... I am building a S.B. MOC for LEGO fair. I think original S.B. is a bit small. I would like it to be maybe 33 % larger.

Sorry to hear that DC SUMMER 2024 are delayed. In my region they are coming 3.6.2024. (3rd of June on year 2024). I have already pre-ordered Blue Batmobile, Mech and. 4+ Batcave.

I mean if you have Dark knights Metal then batman was chosen by an evil bat demon god (who works at a world forge) to become batman so that he could could use him as a demon portal with dark multiversal versions of himself.... But that is literally the worst comic I've ever read, I accidentally read a Pokémon manga backwards and it made more sense.

1 - I might buy the BtAS Batmobile but not at full price.

2 - The BtAS art set for DC though I don't plan on buying it, outside of DC - Barad-Dûr, Zelda Deku tree ( as long as it still looks good), D&D CMF

3 - I have no such weaknesses, emotions as strong as hate are not used on Lego sets.

Bonus - a DC CMF, A young justice season 1 bioshio with the new geni-sphere. Miss Martin, Kid Flash, Robin, Artemis, Super boy. Aqualad, A GLTaS Interceptor with Razer, Hal, Aya, Killowog, Zox, Manhunter X2 and Saint Walker

Please watch the animated DC films and Shows, live action has never done Green lantern justice ( though I maintain that his movie was better than BvS).

But no he has no powers,  kinda like batman it's his equipment that makes him superpowered ( a ring and a lanyard).

Granted, we don't know the exact extent of their role, but Gunn is smart enough not to sideline Superman in his own movie for the sake of world-building.

I will expect Guy Gardener in the sets. I'm not saying that that is reasonable or logical but maybe I am not either if those things.

Also I feel like they could have a decent tile without sideling the big guy.

I’m honestly worried whether a TV Show’s budget is going to even do justice to the spectacular visuals that would be mandatory for a live action GL project. I mean even if it had a budget of a billion USD I look at shows like ROP and don’t see where all the money went.

I am also concerned about how it’s supposedly going to predominantly take place on earth. Which kinda removes the mythos that makes GL so great. I mean who they gonna have as the villain? Hector Hammond? Major Force? It really limits their options.

 

Crazy hope: They could have this earth based Hal and John season and a separate space based movie, there plenty of other human GLs or they could get funner and give us completely non human lead ( and I don't mean a lookalike Luke superman though that could also work ).

Brainiac for one. I would love to see a slow build up to Brainiac, using his intelligence to string together multiple other plot threads, before his big reveal.

I wouldn't mind Maxwell Lord, Brother Eye, and the OMACs getting center stage.

I never want another flashpoint ever again. Once was enough.

The way I would structure it goes: Brainiac Saga, OMAC Protocol, Sinestro Corps War/Blackest Night. But then again, I'd pretty much do only Justice League and Titans films, covering a major threat each film, DCAMU style.

Blackest Night is an Endgame level event. If we want the DCMU to last, we have to leave it until we're ready to pull the plug. And while the Crisis Sagas are also amazing, no more multiverses for a while. It's becoming nauseating.

the thing is, it was labeled as a june release for a few weeks on the lego website before today, now all of the sudden they changed their minds and made it an August release with no explanation

You make good points and suggestions. It makes a lot of sense, I agree on the no more multiverse dependency but in my head the crime syndicate is a bit of an exception to that rule.

Though I think the problem with saving blackest night for the end is most things like this tend to end in a whimper not a bang.
