Nice collection! Id love to know the parts list for some of your custom figs (assuming their purist creations?). Mainly Spoiler, Power girl, Wonder girl, Mad Hatter, Martha Joker and Aqualad and any you're particularly proud of.

Yes, sure.

Spoiler - She is mostly TLBM Catwoman, with the torso reversed, with a Purple cape ( sourced from Magneto) a purple hood ( sourced from Pick a Brick) and a nexo knights head

Power girl has TLBM Robin's Legs with a white hip part, TLBM nurse Harley's Torso reversed ( the actual nurse stuff is hidden by the cape), plain white arms with blue hands ( i forget what that exact shade of blue is called) her head is TFA Rey, Though theres a lot of heads that'd probably work as good or better and her hair is from a pre Lego Ninjago movie Lloyd.

Wondergirl has some Legs I got from a build a minifig tower (not sure what set they come from I'm afraid), the torso is from the CMF wonder woman ( I did originally have her using the mighty mircos Wonder woman torso ( which again was on PaB) but I switched to tgis one because the yellow matches the boots) the head is Chells from the portal dimensions pack ( it was on PaB so it's one I got a few of) and the hair is from this Lego city set. ( Though it comes in a lot of sets)

Mad hatter is actually really simple, I got some of the recent Disney CMFs and decided to give Jiminy Cricket the head from Doctor Feliciair, and that's all he is but I think it works.

Martha [Joker] has the torso and legs from a spare post regeneration 12th doctor, a Harley head from the Deadshot and Harley bikes set( saying reminds me that Deadshot isn't in the car where he should be, I think I might've left him inside a build) and her hair is from the Ultra Agents/ Ninjago character Toxikita.

Aqualad is actually based on Kaldur's Aquaman outfit but I'm still calling him Aqualad. He has the legs of golden Cole from the Crystallized sets, the Torso from a dimensions Aquaman, pearl gold arms, hands in the colour to match his head, the ninjago Mr E armour in gold, the head from Apache Chief/Long shadow, the blonde Draco malfoy hair.

I mean, the ISB mostly wear white anyway

Awesome display, btw! I need to look into something like that.

So maybe grey is his favourite the because he wears it over white?!

But no we can't guess his favourite colour based on clothes because we only ever see him in utility clothes like Uniforms and disguises.

Thanks.

I feel like I'm a part of how this insanity started, I influenced legoturtle too much but at least we kept the Batman thread alive and our numbers are only going up with new members joining our brotherhood of Aslume

I think the true origin of the enlightenment ( what you call insanity) was the failed prophecy of fate. ( The fake Tower of fate rumour).

Alfred and Bruce are a good team ( though IMO Ben Affleck initially felt more like the Thomas Wayne Batman then Bruce Wayne to me).

Here’s my recommended order:
1) Brightest Day (it’s pre new 52), 2) GL V1: Sinestro, 3) Red Lanterns in Volume order.  (The previous two occur at the same time and both lead into the Rise of the Third Army and Rise of the First Lantern.) 4) And then Sinestro Volume one as that occurs some time after Rise of the First Lantern.

Oh and the GL that was doing a Batman I believe was Guy Gardner. He had lost his ring during Rise of The Third Army. He ended up in Jail for ruining a police raid though.

Thanks, I'll have look out for rise of the third army and rise of the first lantern then. Unfortunately my favourite local comic shop is temporarily closed but I can always look online.

And as someone who has read a few odd GL comics but is looking into reading more do you have any other particular recommendations?

12. Zack Synder’s Justice League (2021)
13. The Batman(2022)

Ranking things is hard because so many of them are at about the same level, so instead I'll do a tier list. I've also added some of the other batman animated movies. ( A lot of the animated movies I've only seen once and so thier ranking might change upon rewatch, and a recent got a few DC animated films but haven't watched any of the batman ones yet)

S(Incredible): The LEGO Batman Movie

A(Great): The Batman, Batman Returns, Batman: Under the Red Hood Batman 66, Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero,

B(Good): Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, Batman 89, Batman: Bad Blood, The Dark Knight, Batman vs. Robin, Batman: Year One

C(Good but not as good):Batman: The Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight Rises, Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Batman vs. Dracula, Batman vs. Two-Face, Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman, Son of Batman

D(Bad but entertaining): Batman & Robin,Batman Forever(it less entertaining than Batman & Robin though), Batman and Harley Quinn,

E(Not entertaining):Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

F(Negative entertainment value): Batman Ninja

HAVEN'T ACTUALLY SEEN: Zack Synder’s Justice League, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns( but I've read the comics and if it's up to that standard then A tier), Batman: Death in the Family ( but the branching paths sounds really fun), Batman: Hush, Batman: The Killing Joke (but from what I know of the movie I can't imagine it ranking highly), Batman: The Long Halloween (Again I have read the comic so if it's close to that it's be either A or B tier), Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, Batman: Soul of the Dragon, Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham, Merry Little Batman, the Batman Unlimited films

Hold on that's not a film?! It's shorts/episodes in a trenchcoat: Batman: Gotham Knight, The Batman/Superman Movie: World's Finest, Batman: Strange Days:( okay its just one short but still)

Hold on that's not a batman movie: Batman: Assault on Arkham

Emerald Twilight, the entirety of Geoff John’s GL run, Rise of the Third Army, Rise of the First Lantern, Brightest Day, New 52 GL Corps run (my favourite iteration of Guy as a character), New 52 GL: New Guardians run (I personally really like it and it’s what really made me like Kyle Rayner as a character), New 52 Vol 4: Dark Days, Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern corps (Rebirth), Green Lanterns (Rebirth) and Far Sector (haven’t read it myself but my friends tell me that it’s extremely good, in fact they assure me that it’s some of the best GL since the Geoff Johns era ended.)

7. Batman Begins (2005)
8. The Dark Knight (2008)

11. The LEGO Batman Movie (2017)

The holy trinity. I consider all these as one trilogy. Especially since it seems that the events of TDK trilogy did seem to happen in TLBM universe.

Gentlemen, I now present to you my DC character ranking. (This may or may not be intentionally used to push Turtle further into the Lazarus Pit that is insanity.)

1) Hal Jordan (Green Lantern)

2) Dick Grayson (Nightwing/ Batman)

3) Clark Kent (Superman)

4) Kyle Rayner (Also Green Lantern)

5) Diana Prince (Wonder Woman, absolutely loved the New 52 run)

6) Bruce Wayne (Batman, a mentally unstable vigilante who beats up the more mentally unstable)

7) Wally West (Flash/ Kid-Flash)

8) Jessica Cruz (Green Lantern)

9) Sinestro

10) Batgirl (Barbara Gordon)

Rate my ranking. Am I based? Or am I stupid?

Both, but there's a surprisingly low number of Lanterns given how much we've been talking about him. I was kind of expecting you to go-

1): Hal Jordan

2): Jon Stewart

3): Guy Gardner

4): Kyle Raynar

5): Jessica Cruz

6): Simon Baz

7): Alan Scott

8): Kilowog

9): Mogu (The planet one, I think I didn't spell that right)

10: Chip

Though personally, I think I'd be pretty boring and throw this out there:

1): Barry Allen (I love speedsters, Barry has a great rogue's gallery, and I like that he tries to help his less evil villains)

2): Bruce Wayne (He's Man. C'mon)

3): Clark Kent (I'm like the one guy who liked Cavill, apparently, though no one holds a candle to Reeves. Not the best rogue's gallery, but certainly far from the worst)

4): Diana of Themiscyra (She's held back by a weak rogue's gallery, but a great character herself. I think they should lean into mythology and make her a sort of Kratos-style myth killer)

5): Hal Jordan (THE Green Lantern, and while not the first, certainly the most popular. This entire part of the universe is great)

6): The Jonkler (The first villain on the list, I love the sheer variety of things you can do with the character. He can be a prankster criminal, a broken down man, a serial killer, or whatever depending on the day)

7):  Eobard Thawne (The pettiest man alive and one of the few "villain has the same powers as the hero" things that I really enjoy.)

8): Jason Todd (As much as I like Barry and Clark, sometimes you just want to see cool red edgy guy shoot bad guys and drive motorcyle)

9): Jon Stewart (I was trying my best to only do one person for each hero, but Jon needs to be up here. Same general stuff as Hal. I like that he's been a soldier and an architect.)

10): Lex Luthor (If the turtle was a billionaire)

@Agent Kallus Long Halloween is awesome, so is The Dark Knight Returns two-parter.

Doom that came to Gotham and Soul of the Dragon are pretty meh in my opinion, but your mileage may vary. Though SotD does start like a Bond movie, so there's at least that.

The absolute crime of not having Batman and Robin in S-tier disgusts me

Batman can be comedy, horror, action, thriller, drama and maybe even a superhero movie. It is weird film like SW6 is for many. BUT it is also 1 of the best comedy movies of all time.

Spoiler

Interesting, WEIRD stuff. Think about many of the NEW movies. Most of them play safe. That's it.

So, we are sharing opinions on DC movies? OK, here is my turn...

S)The Lego movie (great on its own, I added it to the list only because Batman was featured there)

A)The Lego Batman movie, Batman 1989, The Dark Knight, Joker (a horrible Batman adaptation, magnificent on its own)

B) Batman: assault on Arkham

C)The Flash

D) Batman Beyond: return of the Joker, Mystery of Batwoman, Batman returns, Batman 1966, Batman vs Robin, Batman vs TMNT

E)Mask of Phantasm, Batman and Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight rises

F)Batman forever, Batman and Robin, ALL DCEU MOVIES FEATURING BATMAN (because, sadly, Shazam! didn't feature Batman), The Lego movie 2 (again, only because Batman was there), Batman and Harley Quinn, Batman: Hush, The Killing Joke, the Batman

G[never watched, but so bad, that are beyond redemption]): ALL OF BATMAN UNLIMITED, Superman: red son

P. S. : added Batman: Assault on Arkham and Superman: red son to my list

Another option would be the same torso, cape, and hood, but with CMF Huntress’s arms and legs.

  1. Those are movies I own. That why there is also Watchmen. (I did not include animation movies)
  2. OK. I did not realise that is best and there are also [E] and [F] tiers.
  3. Green Lantern and Superman movies I haven't seen. Did I miss something? Also Harley Quinn is not familiar. I have just heard that you should stay a way from them. Suicide Squad and The Suicide Squad movie I have not seen yet. MAYBE and just maybe - today I could by TSS?

BECAUSE I believe LEGO has done some of those characters

No, he's human. The AI this forum gets hit with usually has a malignant purpose, won't say anything negative, and is pretty rudimentary speech-wise.

(The star wars threads on the forum gets hit every few months with some random replies to posts, containing an AI paragraph trying to jump from star wars- star wars games - gaming -gambling- a link to a gambling website that's probably also going to give you a virus if you click it. Sometimes the bot accounts will respond to eachother too.)

The attention to detail is something truly incredible, you're right. Someone less committed wouldn't have added that film in.

For all the jokes with turtle, he does keep the discussion going, which is nice when the theme itself has a foot in the grave.

Why? It feels redundant citing a variation of the same few characters in a multiverse populated by tens of thousands of characters. I can expand on it for clarity.

Niles Caulder because he's the leader of my favourite hero team but is far removed from a hero himself.

Naut Le Koi's Silver Age appearance is essentially a fish in a bowl on a humanoid body, and his name is Koi. My favourite era of comics is the Silver Age and this for me is one of the underrated characters.

What else can I say about Planet Master that isn't brilliant? Naturally for a villain he's a scientist. By being exposed to gases released by a meteorite he gained a split personality, and the evil personality turned to a life of crime. Being an astronomer and being affected by a meteor led him to use planets as his theme. This then leads to his costume having Saturn's rings as accessories and weapons based on the planets. Like I said the Silver Age produced some great characters.

The first DC comic I ever read had Gentleman Ghost in it, and I've never forgotten it. I've got Atom & Hawkman 43 which was far cheaper than Flash 88.

I saw Etrigan in the DCAU before I encountered him in the comics, but I bought a collection of Jack Kirby work and that was that.

I've always loved Black Manta. Nothing more to add other than he was for a long time the best thing about Aquaman stories.

B'wana represents more Silver Age weirdness, but I grew a fondness for the character after seeing his story arc in Batman Brave and the Bold.

If I had to narrow The Batmen of All Nations down to one member it would be Knight or Gaucho. I went Gaucho. I could just as easily have gone for an equivalent villain and frankly I can't get better than Dai Laffin.

Ever since I first saw that Carmine Infantino cover of Strange Adventures 205 I've been hooked on Deadman. Being an Eighties kid I grew up with late night, low budget horror, and Deadman is at home with that.

Lobo is Lobo. He has a dog and space dolphins.

Can someone here explain Yellow Lantern Batman?

There was a story called Forever Evil, where an evil version of the Justice League from a different Earth (the Crime Syndicate from Earth-3) crossed over into Prime Earth. They kidnapped nearly all of the Justice League, hid them inside the Firestorm Matrix and pronounced them dead. They also tried to make all the world's villains join them, and most said yes. Then they outed Dick Grayson as Nightwing and stuck him in a torture machine which technically kills him. The only two JL members not taken were Cyborg and Batman. Cyborg was badly damaged by his evil counterpart so was out of the battle. Batman teamed up with Catwoman and made their way to Wayne Enterprises to find a secret weapon, where they met Lex Luthor's team of rebel villains and a team of proper villains led by the evil Green Lantern called Power Ring. Batman's secret weapon turns out to be a Yellow Lantern ring, which he wears briefly but his plan doesn't work. The ring summons it's master Sinestro who kills the evil Green Lantern. Batman joins forces with the rebel villains and it's glorious until the story's climax and the team disbands.

In addition to @RedHoodPug, there was a part during the Sinestro Corps (IIRC), where a yellow ring attempts to recruit Batman. He defiantly tears it off and rejects the offer to join the Sinestro Corps. The ring flies off to find Scarecrow instead.
