Posted January 13, 20241 yr What are you using to control your LEGO displays (Light Kits, etc)? Are you using anything more advanced that some remote controlled wall plug, to be able to have Alexa (or your favorite home assistant) to control the lights? I was trying to find some solutions to be able to control over WiFi (phone, web browser, etc.) or just some simple timer functionality (to have lights on in the evening and turn off for the night/day...). But didn't have much luck finding anything ready made, found some DIY solution only: Controlling lights from HomeKit: https://github.com/SenseAtHome/LEDBrickHome Controlling lights with browser/timer: https://github.com/tjko/brickpico Do you know any other projects similar to these? January 16, 20241 yr If you just want to have a on/off functionality you may want to go with some wifi smart plug like Shelly Plug Plus or from other brands (Tuya integrations are widely spread), this then powering some USB charger, finally powering your lightkit. A Shelly Plug S Plus costs ~25 € each here in Germany, recently bought a 4x set of some Tuya-compatible no-names from Amazon for ~38€ total. Edited January 16, 20241 yr by aFrInaTi0n
January 28, 20241 yr I will be posting a whole new post, hopefully it will revitalize this post but also add something to it. I have a similar, but also, different question re: Lego lighting solutions
