[WIP] - The new Batman adventures custom minifigures (25 anniversary of broadcasting stop)

Thanks to the critical feedback from @Lego Nostalgia, @Mandalorianknight and @Rwbricks I decided to redesign my TNBA Clayface so that it would be more screen-accurate! Sorry, I couldn't make the eyes yellow - they were undoubtedly white in TNBA, and I didn't have enough space for good-looking teeth. What I did is making the figure considerably larger and the top of his head - rounder:

I am pretty sure that now it's faithful enough to the source material. What do you think?

He looks great! Once again, the changes have only improved him. 

I didn’t say this before, but I love the techniques you used on his arms and hands.  They work extremely well.

B. T. style  Acquiring the TLNM 70608 Master falls set came handy when designing his hands and fingers, and the 11090 brown bar holders are very useful for other purposes too

@PunchAndJewelee, here is STAS Livewire! I had to take TLBM Joker's hairpiece from the Creeper (giving him a more accurate Ninjago Kai hairpiece, painted with a green permanent marker) and paint it blue (I failed):

I am not very proud of those two minifigures - the quality of customisation is low by my standards - but I cannot do anything with that at the moment.

BTW, I also tried to create a fully painted, sticker-less Batgirl minifigure, but failed dramatically - I just cannot paint Lego carefully enough with an airbrush. Thankfully, the experiment didn't completely fail with Barbara Gordon - now she doesn't have any stickers, but still looks nice, very much to my joy.

The only thing i would suggest is to do more villains and heroes from JLU, we got tons of new characters in that show. (and I would love to see star sapphire using a batwoman cowl!)

I don't really know... I am not a fan of that show, but of course, I may create some JLU characters, like I did with J'onn, Amanda and some others... I shall see. Thanks for the suggestion!

Two new minifigures - Lex Luthor and Aquaman from S:TAS

As opposed to my previous Lex Luthor minifig, this one depicts his classic look with a suit and no cheekbones. Aquaman's figure is identical to official sh0533

Those minifigures are only slightly improved. Mary Marvel was updated to look more in line with Bruce Timm's original artworks. Poison Ivy now has a face made of stickers, rather than painted with a gel ink pen

I slightly improved those characters too

- Mr. Freeze now has taller, more accurate boots;

- Gordon and the cops are now armed with more appropriate revolvers;

- The Creeper now has got better looking boots and underwear

Here's a new character I crafted - TNBA killer Croc. If you have noticed, I usually base my customs off TNBA designs - I don't think this one in particular is much better than the B:TAS one (though I am not a fan of the original either), I just prefer TNBA to B:TAS overall.

...I sometimes think that I am the only TNBA fan in the world. Some people may enjoy it, but somehow everyone agrees that B:TAS is better. Indeed, TAS had some gem episodes (my favourite is "Heart of ice", a tear-jerking one), but TNBA had some good stories, no stupid episodes like "I've got Batman in my basement" or "The Mechanic" (my least favourite ones are "Cult of the cat" and, ironically, "Legends of the Dark Knight", both of them being pretty solid), more mature storytelling overall (no, I am not talking about the lewdness and violence, though I don't mind them) and, IMAO, more decent animation. The show's distinctive simplified Timm style allowed the artists to minimise mistakes (let's just say some B:TAS episodes didn't have an animation as good as the beforementioned "Heart of ice"), and I like most of the redesigns and personality changes (the Riddler's redesign is outright horrid though, and I used to dislike Joker's black eyes, only now realising what a brilliant idea they were). I am a strong believer of the theory that TNBA is a completely separate, different, albeit with some similarities, continuity than B:TAS, the only media sharing it with TNBA being S:TAS. Now TLG produces TAS sets, I hope, but seriously doubt, that they would realise TNA-based ones, for how generally disliked it is. Which I think is not fair, since it deserves more love from fans...

Here are pictures of my full current TNBA and S:TAS collections. It's been a busy year...

TNBA villains (Ra's al Ghul and Ubu should've been in the S:TAS picture):

Notice the 2x2 round baseplates - those minifigures are supposed to be part of my future Lego Batman board game (hope still doesn't die!) and need to be firmly attached to a potential game board.

As a bonus, here is a picture of TNBA "passive" characters, who are not part of my game due to their "inability" to fight:

The Marvel family, JL and B:TAS characters are still present in my collection, but I don't currently intend to post their group photos here.

I am currently planning to craft a special Christmas minifigure to celebrate the holiday.

Id love to see you also make some justice league (and justice league unlimited) figures, it would be awesome to see ultra humanite, cheetah, the shade, star sapphire, etc

Im less familiar with the dcau comics, I say do it!

 

Personal idea: For Star Sapphire, I would take a batwoman cowl and paint it for her, the same could work for huntress.

Yes, I was referring to TNBA specifically 

I mean, they upgraded her look compared to B:TAS, made her younger and changed her personality from adventure-seeker to a person who wants to help. I don't really care about other versions of the character, but the TNBA one is my favourite DC character overall
