brickphisto Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 I am happy to present my first serious MOC which is not a vehicle: The Green Shamrock B&B. It is based on traditional Irish B&Bs and designed in a modular way although it is not really a modular. The roof and the upper floor are removable but it is not built on baseplates and its size of 40x32 studs does not fit with regular Lego modulars. The ground floor contains the lounge, a small kitchen and the main breakfast room. Upstairs you can find two bedrooms which have both access to the bathroom. Outside is a large garden with a trampoline, a sandbox and Gaelic football goal posts. There is also a small bed with some flowers and pumpkins. Six minifigures and some animals live in or around the B&B. If you like my design, feel free to support it: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-4/1466/The-Green-Shamrock-B&B Thank you very much! Quote
Feuer Zug Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Elegant design. Quite fitting of the source material. NPU with the bathtub. Quote
Space Coyote Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Oh my word those interiors! That dining area is so perfectly detailed, all of the interiors are just perfect! It's hard to get interior details right - if you use too many pieces it can feel cluttered, but too few and it feels empty. You've got like the perfect amount of detail here. The striped bedsheets are very inspired, I love the teal and white together. Even the bathroom has love and care put into it. That potted plant makes all the difference. The exterior looks great too, I love the theming and general idea behind this. Your interiors are so good, please make another building some time if you feel inspired to, you have a real knack for it! Quote

It is nice to get some positive comments at last. To be honest I had no idea if the interior details were too much or too little since this was my very first modular building. Currently I am working on another building for BDP series 6. It will not really be a modular building and the theme will be slightly different this time yet similar to the B&B. Hopefully the interior design can convince you once again. ;-) Quote
