JohnTPT17 Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Dang - that's a fantastic CMF wave! Sure, there's a handful that are a little strange to me, but there's a lot that I really love. I'll easily be getting a set for myself, and I might want extras of about half of them. The only thing that could make these trip at the finish line is if some of those new parts end up being rubber - I could see the antler hood going that way, but hopefully most of them are hard plastic. Can't wait for them! Quote
Arjo Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Any reputable seller of full boxes here in the UK? Tempted (for the first time ever) not to beat around the bush and just get myself a whole box:) Just checked minifigmadness and they’re out of stock (they were selling two boxes per order which would have been one too many for me anyway). Did you get a good deal on a single box elsewhere? Quote
zoth33 Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Can't wait to get all of these and multiples of them for customizing. This is going to be another expensive lego year for me. Quote
Rjbricks Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Woohoo! look awesome. I was building my own generic sorcerer baddie but now I have Szas Tam to use instead. Quote

The figures already looked good before, but now they’re even better One of my favourite CMF series they’ve ever done! Agreed. These look so nice in the plastic. More so than the render. Quote
Darth Shadowthrone Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 It wasn’t clear from the render, but there’s some great capes here too! The halfling, Strahd, the lady of pain and Szass Tam all look like they have really unique cloaks Quote

Black Falcon Posted July 17, 2024 Author Posted July 17, 2024 Looks very nice, especially like the dragon compared to the older leak, looks much better now. Overall quite a difference between those, from image quality and better colours alone. Quote

Wait, what? Dang it. I've been ordering from them to split with my friends for awhile - even here in the states, it's about the best deal there is if you're getting a lot. And I've never seen them sell out of preorders before, even on ones like the Disney 100 series. Hopefully they open up preorders again soon... EDIT: I checked their Facebook page, and it says that they will open for preorders "soon." So, hopefully the fact that it says they're out of stock is just a "placeholder" before they open up orders? I think that could have even happened for some previous series? I really hope they didn't completely sell out faster than a BDP castle... 2 hours ago, zoth33 said: It looks like those antler pieces may be separate from the hood. Clone OPatra Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 Dang these look great! I have no connection to DnD whatsover but I do like mediaeval and fantasy LEGO, and there is so much great stuff here. I can see myself getting at least 7 or 8 of the 12. Quote
Arjo Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 Thanks JohnTPT, I’ll keep an eye out though two boxes would be too much (and expensive) for me. I live my afol life in loneliness, no one to share and split cost with sadly! Quote
Rjbricks Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 @Arjo, I know the feeling :( when I’ve wanted a full box I’ve gone via eBay. One of the sellers does discounts (normally £119) for 36 figures if you buy directly. Quote
Nilker Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 I wonder if Lego and Wizards of the Coast will release character sheets for the 7 playable CMF characters to use with the 21348 set. It could add depth and playability to these figures for relatively little cost. Quote
BardDandelion Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 I'm a bit dissapointed, these figs have very cartoonish/fairy tale design. Before this reveal I was thinking of getting whole box (three complete series, three of each minifig) now I know that I will get one complete series and maybe some extra gnome druid and dragonborn paladin. That would be great! ...while seems unlikely to me To use them in the 21348 set's adventure, (as a 25+ year of experience DM) I find necessary to also add some character-related lootable item, because the ones present in the original set are very class-related to the 4 PGs already in it. Anyways, I'm afraid I'll spend way too many euros on this CMFs... Quote

I had the same feeling when I saw the leaks. These look a bit Ninjago or Monkie Kidd like to me. Some of the torsos are OK (I hope) and the armour might be useful, but I don't like the cartoony teeth necklace, for example. Still, better than Chima with the blue orbs on the torsos. I was hoping for something more like the S3 CMF elf. That torso and other parts can be used for more varied characters and is generic enough to army build too. Quote

Darth Shadowthrone Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 Some of the costumes are very fantastical and bright but some are pretty down-to-earth and realistic - the yellow guy, vampire and dwarf Barbarian would all fit into standard historical scenes with different heads Quote

Though I'm sure if you just want one set, you should be able to find it on eBay, Bricklink, or Facebook Marketplace without too much hassle for around (or even less) than retail, if that's easier. best of luck! 2 hours ago, BrickBob Studpants said: They always use that placeholder before pre-orders are opened Thanks for the confirmation! JohnTPT17 Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 There's in-hands photos of most of the minifigs floating around now. Custom baseplates that look very reusable, and it looks like most have two heads and not just double-sided printing! Arm and back printing galore! These really feel quite premium. Well done, D&D/Lego! I've got mine ordered from MinifigureMadness, and I'm excited to get them in-hand! Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 Custom baseplates AND additional heads?! They really went all-out for this series! Quote
Classic_Spaceman Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 Arm and side-of-leg printing on the Dragonborn paladin! Also, the Mindflayer's arms would look excellent on custom Black Falcons! Quote
Darth Shadowthrone Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 It’s a shame minifigure madness don’t do single boxes for sale - I’d like to have 3 sets of each figure for customising and to share with my brothers but I don’t particularly feel like I need 72 dnd minifigures Quote
