According to Brickclicker, it is indeed a GWP. Strange choice IMO, since I think they could have done a better Mimic than that and not sure if it looks good enough to buy the Set day one.

Have to assume that, despite the video just rebuilding it, that it will have an actual disguise/transformation feature.

A mimic is a fun GWP and though it is a bit large for minifigs, you do get giant chests.

Awesome so, in just 6 days at 5pm UK time! Good to know, though I wouldn't be surprised if HD pics leak just before the reveal like they often do, though less likely if this is a Lego exclusive ( is it? I don't know).

And I'm going to restate my guess that Vecna could be in the set, given the half focus of named villains in the CMF leak and how D&D's next campaign book is a quest about travelling across dimensions to fight Vecna.

That's cool, but it's weird to tease a September minifig in march, though I guess D&D has become the Lego theme of early teases, given that we got the gelatinous cube tease in February.

It's not a new shield mold, but the regular size. You can see some details in this photoshopped image:


That GWP though is pretty lame and for me in no way a Day 1 purchase reason. You can probably just rebrick it for 5 bucks. Maybe I'll reverse engineer it and post the file here.

I wonder if they're teasing the CMF now, so that D&D players will see the game potential of the set, and do are more likely to buy it, and look out for the CMF in September. This will be covered in D&D media too.

And then the September release gives them another media boost and awareness for those that missed it first time around.

The 4 characters are not from the CMF but from the big set. You can see 3 of them in the leaked image too.

Yeah actually looking at MaxBautde's Instagram story, all 4 have been found in the set. Though 6 minifigs does seem a little sparse for the price point.

I was a little wrong. This is not a new Gith figure, but rumor say that the hair piece will also be used by the CMF Githyanki figure. Here it will probably be some elven magician. The final product will probably different in details from the leak image. By the way, the party looks quite balanced. An elven mage, a human cleric, a gnomish warrior, and probably also a human rogue.

Six figures isn’t amazing for the price - at least ten would have been much more reasonable but at least there’s 2+ of the little mushroom guys and all the brick built creatures

The cleric could also be a dwarf. And some claim the rogue will be elven, possibly drow.

Probably not. It is quite a bit of time and we're having the space cmf series in the meantime, They probably won't want to overshadow it with the dnd one.

Who is some? Are these just people guessing or do they actually know things? I guess we'll all see it on the 19th anyway.

I'm not working April first and the Mimic GWP looks fun so I might pop into the Lego shop and buy it day one ( which I've only ever done once before with the Ahsoka sets).

It's the sorcereress on the top-right side of the bridge, next to the displacer beast. She has a small staff (with the normal trans-light blue jewel and monkey kid handle piece), a spell book and a dress piece just like the left silhouette with a new hair mould (in the set in dark brown with medium nougat elf ears)

Don´t know, I said before that I think Lego could have done better, but I don´t actually think it is much worse than the other versions you posted. First of all the tongue on all of them doesn´t look good - I would actually say number one and three is so ugly, it makes the whole. moc look bad. Anyways I don´t think anyone would expect Lego to make something that looks like a Moc rather than a set. 

But anyways, like I said before, I would have prefered if they would have done a chest, where you just see it is a mimic once you open it.

It's modular too which I am very pleased with. Am personally going to convert this into either a black falcon tower or a crown knights tower (2008 faction) Will decide once I pick up the set. $360 seems a little steep but that's Lego for yah
