I didn't realise that one character was yellow. Very interesting.

Those pics also confirm that the short woodland character's hood and antlers are all one piece.

Overall, a really excellent series with tons of good printing all over. I honestly have no complaints  They're not all my cup of tea, but they're all very well done.

On reddit there is a closer look at some of them and the base plates have printing on some of them and alternate heads on the generic ones.  The printing on the figs is just excellent.

All the plates have printing, just like the space one. Quite interesting as it seems it is something we can expect more often (though I don´t think all series will get them, especially not the normal ones).

So far the Dragonborn and the Aaracockra are my favourites, would still have prefered more unnamed characters over named ones as they are more usefull to have multibles of, though I have to say I am really surprised by Tasha, that one really looks much better than expected and is definitely my favourite of the named characters.

Yeah that stone printing is nice and could be used in several applications like a stone stair case or stone walk way.  Yes the printing on Tasha is great and these will be so useful for minifig customs.

Didn’t realise the person who has them in hand ( not quite sure how yet but ?? ) has done a YouTube review .. I’m just about to watch it 😁👍🏼

Never seen or played this game... but I have made up my mind long time ago that I will be getting this.

Thanks for posting this video - it almost feels like Lego pulled out all the stops on developing this CMF series, with all the printing, new moulds, recolors and including alternate heads.

(Now, why can't they do this for Disney? LOL)

@Arjo which one are you after ?? 😁 @hikouki No problem 👍🏼 I too have no idea about D&D but appreciate how good these minifigures are and I’ll be getting a set and probably a few extras of some. We can only hope Disney series 4 will be as good as these 🙏🏼

They pretty much did? All three series had dual-moulding, specialised pieces, and detailed prints  The only thing present in this series that none of the Disney ones had (and only a selected few CMF figures in general) are alternate heads, but which characters would this actually have been useful for? Besides, the alternate heads reflect the customisability of player characters in D&D, so it makes sense for this to only be widespread in this specific series

Must be the Dragonborn, since that is the only one we really see more of in that video. And honestly, the torso looks great, I guess I will have to remove the Armor of them and use them for other minfigures, with plain torso, since the armor even covers the arm printing of the Dragonborn.

I kinda wish the Dragonborn had a chainmail shirt under the armor, but the tunic/necklace is still pretty good. Probably a more diverse choice, too.

I've glad the video confirmed the Mindflayer's head isn't rubber, and that it's hard plastic! I do wonder about some of the other parts though - though now that they've leaked, I'm sure more reviews will be coming out shortly.

I also wonder what extra parts might be included - I think it would be great if we got two of the Gith's knives, but I won't hold my breath either.

Quite interesting, that Lego gives the D&D chest a second run, should be the first time happening to a set exclusive GWP. Wondering if they did because it was sold out rather quickly and if they would do the same for the Lord of the Rings GWP aswell.

I'm very tempted to get the castle now, with the second run GWP. I missed it by 30 on release day. I even bought multiple sets of the different 1x1 eyes from PAB in anticipation of making my own version.

The torso for the Dragonborn is great.  Also the torso for the mindflayer would look great with Basil the batlords helmet.  I can't wait to get these in September.

Depending on the design of the front of the torso, it could also work as a Fright Knights knight (so our armies are not just a bunch of Basil clones). 👍

Yeah it could really work for that or any Vampire lord really.  It looks very gothic in style.

Dragonborn is indeed my favourite but I also love the others. Not sure one is yellow though, not a big deal but a bit odd imo.

That character is a Githyanki, I believe (possibly a Githzerai; same species, different culture).  They're usually depectied with yellowy green (or just green) skin, so the yellow colour makes sense.

Thanks Kaiju. There are core books due in Sept so I’ve postponed my education on all things D&D to then. Google will tell me what a Githyanki is (all I know is that had it not been yellow it would have done a good standin for the rogue twin in vox machina).

I would like to buy a whole box, but Lego only sells them loose and with a limit of 24....

Minifigure Maddness are excellent for full boxes. They currently have a limit of 1 box (72 figs) but that will change some time after release
