Fenghuang0296 Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 The Emerald City is gorgeous, hope that goes on sale like the Wish castle did because I want. I actually quite like the small dock set too. It’s cute and has exclusive figures, and I don’t mind mini-dolls as much as some people do. The other two are easy passes, though I do appreciate the detail work on the display stand for the dolls. If that goes on clearance, maybe I’ll get it as a parts pack. Quote
EdWebhead Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Picked up all the sets and they're actually quite nice. While I'll always prefer minifigures, LEGO has definitely stepped up their game with the minidolls and I'm happy with them. Overall though I still find it strange for them to be strictly targeting towards very young girls considering all the adult Wicked fans and even TWOZ fans who would love detailed Oz-related builds. Surely an 18+ Emerald City or Munchkinland would sell well. Quote
Jarreth2 Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 @EdWebhead could you possibly confirm if the minidoll hair pieces and also Elphaba’s hat/hair combo work on minifigures .. I mean I get that they fit generally .. I’m just wondering if they look any good ? Please and thank you if you can help 😁👍🏼 Quote

I know some of the older rubber Friends hair molds look weird on normal minifigures but these ones look good. It seems in recent years they've made more of an effort to make them compatible between minifigures and minidolls which is much appreciated and I'm glad they're no longer rubber. Quote

Jarreth2 Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 This topic had died a death sadly, If they’d only used minifigures 🙄 I’ve mentioned him before but Danny Breton’s Madame Morrible minifigure is just stunning. https://www.instagram.com/p/DBgt8TmpZgh/ I also think Lego missed a trick not making a Wixard of Oz Throne Room set .. the more you see the huge mechanical head in new trailers and behind the scenes footage the more I think it would have looked great built in Lego form 👍🏼 Quote
Jarreth2 Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 Me again ( ha ha ) anyone think that with the success of Wicked : Part One that they might do an adult minifigure set for Wicked : For Good ? Quote

There's rumors of an 18+ set for next year, but no telling whether it'll use minifigures or mini-dolls. Personally I kind of hope for the latter, especially if it's a scene or characters that isn't otherwise featured at a smaller scale in the more kid-focused sets (if it's a scene that is also available for cheaper/at a smaller scale as a playset I suppose it would be fine to go with either). I'm expecting at least one of the sets for the sequel will be a big set of Kiamo Ko, the witch's castle in Winkie Country that was featured in the intro to the first movie and is likely going to be more heavily featured in part two. I'm not sure what the best way to depict the flying monkeys would be (especially with mini-dolls, since that especially would probably merit a new mold) but I hope they are featured in some of the upcoming sets. Jarreth2 Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 @Lyichir thanks for the info .. I hadn’t heard the rumour. Here’s hoping ( for me it would have to be minifigures, but who knows ) fingers crossed for a big set perhaps. I did wonder whether Lego might depict the flying monkeys in a similar style to Gollum from LOTR, but with wings. 🤷🏻♂️ Quote
