NV Lego technic Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 Well, the front of the McLaren didn't get saved either. I just hope it won't get delayed for like 2 years like 42146. Quote
TechnicRCRacer Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 It sure looks like the new Reddish Orange color to me, interesting. Quote
efferman Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 The difflock actuating on the rear axle is a joke. Quote
NV Lego technic Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 REALISTIC OFF-ROAD TIRES AT A LARGER SCALE!!!!!! Quote

nerdsforprez Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 New tires? Don't have time to go into functions, but looks-wise it looks amazing.... Quote

Krxlion Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 (edited) Apart from diff-lock (it is good we finally have it!) which is operated by flipping the model upside down to get it locked/unlocked, those tires itself are buying me. First we've got good ones from audi and now mercedes - yes! I hope we will also get 2x new 2Ls driving rings as we have in Yamaha motorcycle. We still need gearbox photo, so my doubts about 2L driving rings will be cleared. I am also curious about that LBG part next to red gear in differential part, have we seen it already? R4ph Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 According to the box, this is the model it's based on :https://uk.motor1.com/news/531407/2022-mercedes-benz-professional-line/And not the 4x4² like we expected/hoped for Quote

dhc6twinotter Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 (edited) So it’s got a locking rear diff, but the only way to engage it is by flicking the lever underneath? That’s kinda pointless. Not a fan of all the beam stacking or bodywork in general. It’s a pass for me. Edited July 8, 2024 by dhc6twinotter Quote
Nazgarot Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 (edited) The looks are okish, the tires great, and for the functions... They at least make room for improvements and modifications :) I think it is a great little sett as a base for modifications, a little like the Unimog. Room enough to make some cleaver solutions to control the diffs, to modify the suspension setup, and maybe to make some manual gearboxes. I can see myself moding it as a old G240 or G300 from the 80s with 4 speed manual and reduction gearbox as well as front and rear diffs. That would also include a full rebuild of the front for a solid axle setup and an i4 or i5 engine. This might be the first buy of the year for me :) Edit: A string or flexwire setup could make a realistic diff lock solution as that is what is on real models from the 80s. And could also be very compact... Edited July 8, 2024 by Nazgarot Quote
