As designer you see that the part makes eye-cancer due ugly moulding points and find another solution. Luckily is only hidden inside. In general this part was re-moulded from the previous 41678 to achieve smoother surfaces without having the ugly gap (a clean 2m liftarm). But now this part has instead the ugly moulding point on the visible side which makes this re-mould useless Edited July 26, 2024 by Timorzelorzworz Quote

Did he mean 42110 has better suspension/off-roading or was simply mentioning real life cars' off-roading performance? 🤔 Also, the front sits are...flimsy- something done right with the 42110. Quote
thekoRngear Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 (edited) Alongside Racingbrick's review there is a very detailed written review out there: https://ramblingbrick.com/2024/07/26/now-i-get-it-42177-mercedes-benz-g500-professional-line/ With a video detailing the drivetrain functions: Edited July 26, 2024 by thekoRngear Quote

I'm sorry I don't have time now to take the set apart for this. I suggest checking the New Elementary article about the P1, you have decent photos about the part there. It is 7x7 modules, I think you can measure the position of sections based on that. Quote
crazy technic Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 is anyone intrested in a front axle with diff lock for this ? because I have finished the stud.io model and now I'm making instructions Quote
ukbajadave Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 Hmm, I don't usually buy sets anymore as I have enough Lego (according to my wife) but having read the thread and seen the racingbrick video I'm actually tempted by this now. It looks like the functions it has are easy to demonstrate and the decision not to do another defender gearbox was the right one IMO. Most of my sets get parted out for MOCs but I could see this staying built as a display piece because I like G wagens. Quote
