Replacements are always 100% free. I ordered some last week as my AT-AT driver had the wrong legs! What was wrong with your set; missing parts or wrong parts?

Same. Must have been the whole batch then!

I think he means lost parts.

Aren't lost parts charged for? Personally I wouldn't expect TLG to pay for my mistakes.

I had the same Idea Rag, I believe he means pretending that he has missing figures, But get some more for free...

I guess it seems bad but Its legos fault for not adding enough clones...

Well I hope not as that would be dishonest. Also, if too many people do this then TLG will simply stop proving this service... or raise prices to compensate.

I thought about doing this for a royal guard afew years back but i thought you had to pay for them. So when it said the parts were free i decided not to. I didnt know you could pay or not I just wouldnt steal from the company that brings me such beutiful sets. I didnt know you could pay or not

I think the system works like this:

* Part broken, wrong part present or not present at all in your newly bought set: free of charge replacement

* Part missing/broken after some time due to playing, building or moving around: use Pick a Brick in S@H and so you pay

At least thats how it worked 2 months ago ordering from Holland

When you order replacement parts (when you have to pay for them) off of Lego.com, do they charge you tax or S&H?

Just wondering, because i'm thinking about ordering some new CW figs on the 26th.

DSR

I don't know if they add different costs in different countries, but in Holland I was charged only for the parts and shipping.

However, liscenced theme specific parts can not be ordered, for example: You can't get the tommy gun from the Batman series and if I'm not mistaken, you can't order minifigs from any of the liscenced themes either.

To clarify: Say you want the windscreen from the 7648 MT-21 Mobile Mining Unit twenty times.

You call LEGO customer service and ask for 20 of them. They give you the price, you say thank you (or never mind, if you think it's too expensive), they send the invoice, you pay, they send the item.

This method inludes, but is not limited to, all the parts available from the Pick a Brick selection.

You can also fill out the replacement parts form on the site and lie, saying it wasn't in the set, (so you don't have to pay), however, because there is only one windscreen in the set you can only order one.

If you want twenty you will have to fill out the form twenty times. This could make them become a bit suspicious.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, All, there seems to be a bit of confusion here.

What I meant was, when you order lost parts.

You order the parts from the set you've lost, then fill out a simple form, then they send you an email a few days later with however much the parts youv'e ordered will cost. Then if you decide to buy them, (I think, haven't gone this far) you pay with a credit card or something and they send you a small bag of the parts you ordered.

I want to do this to buy extra clones and other figs, ect. from the Clone Wars sets without having to pay overinflated prices for them on Bricklink.

Yes I do want to pay for them, I am not planning on swindling Lego out of their products.

I planned on filling out the form online. It is easier for me, because I did this with Bionicle parts that I wanted once, and I got the email a few days later.

However, you can only order the amount of the part that is included in the set, so if you want more, you have to fill out another form.

You're right, to a point. I've had a situation where a licensed part was missing and they replaced it without a problem. That said, it was a single part, not an entire minifig. They are specifically restricted from selling complete Star Wars minifigs by the license with Lucas, but something like a printed tile or a gun tends to be less of an issue.

What I meant was, when you order lost parts.

Won't happen because of the license. Don't even bother wasting your time trying, they will simply refuse, as they are legally bound to do.

So you mean even if you really had a Truly missing piece, Lego wont send you a New piece? What a rip...

Not at all. As I said earlier my AT-AT driver had the wrong legs and they have told me it's on the way. Now if I asked for a helmet it may have been a different story. Besides, Dark Sword Ragnarok is talking about buying "lost" parts, not missing parts.

if you order some for free, then you have to be careful, because, if you order more then 1 part they are going to look if its on the same polybag. if not, they going to send a mail to you to say that there can't be multiple parts from multiple polybags. then they ask if you want to be charged for the items, or not.

in case of lost, you have to send a mail to say witch are lost and then they are going to charge you, wether you like it,or not

Really? Because I went online last night and ordered a whole bunch of SW and Batman figs and some other parts, and the minifigs show up as parts of the sets. I figured that if they weren't willing to replace lost minifigs, they wouldn't put them up on the parts list. However, the one thing I found was that none of the SW sets had Battle Droid heads, so I requested them.

Then again, no sets had the Alien Commander arms, either. :sceptic: Also, the helmets for the regular clone and pilot clones weren't in the battlepack's parts list.

Well, I guess I will just wait for an email, just for kicks and giggles.

DSR

PS: When I ordered Bionicle parts once ( I sent in about 8 orders in the same hour) one order showed up in my mailbox 3 weeks later, and I never paid them. :look: Apparently, the online lost part system seems to have some glitches, maybe even loopholes? :oh3:

EDIT: ImperialShadows, on the replacement parts page where you choose what parts you need, the figure shows up in seperate peices. So, could that be a possible loophole?

EDIT 2: Just recieved the first email Lego sends before they send your parts. Here it is.
