It's not a single big structure, but in fact many different smaller ones, that would have made much more sense to sell as separate sets. It's almost like a whole Castle wave combined into one huge set, except it doesn't have any actual castle walls. I question the wisdom of having selected this set and selling it in this form. There was a vote on the BDP sets and I'm assuming lego does do their due diligence and got feed back about this set to select it and make it available. The comments on the BDP site were quite positive so they must have seen potential in this set. Quote

Personally, I don't mind if a set has more widely available parts, but the build at least for this, and no offense to the designer, it's very... basic? Sure it uses SNOT techniques and does look good and coherent (and let's be honest, lot's of LEGO's siege sets are just one vehicle and a small wall) and nice to have a variety of equipment and a camp, but the design is a bit more basic than I would hope from the BDP. This is exactly my assessment of it as well. It's doubly strange given that SleeplessNight is one of the most talented designers around, consistently making buildings that feel like an official set with cool parts usage and interesting angles. I'll probably pick up the Transylvania Adventures castle of his next round, that is much more typical of his work and looks great. Quote
Mopasali Posted January 16 Posted January 16 On the Trevi Fountain, it looks like there's a new/re olor piece for a brick-built horse in the fountain? I'm not an expert, but maybe it's a recolor of the horse head in the CMF for Knight of the Yellow Castle. But I like the possibility it's how they will decorate the upcoming Creator Medieval Horse and Unicorn Castles. Quote

However I am not sure, if that piece wouldn´t be a bit to special to be used in the creator theme.. Quote

Creator doesn't really tend to shy away from minifig accessories or other small decorative elements, so I don't think a part like this would be off-limits. My bigger concern would be that the hobby-horse head might be too small relative to a brick-built horse large enough to carry a minifig or pull a wagon. Quote

I´d actually more thought about just the head used as decorative element to represent the faction, than an actual built horse. Eitherway I am still not to sure if I would expect the piece to show up in the set.I mean in the end it would be used exactly as a horse head decoration, and not exactly as part to built something else. Not saying they can´t do it, but I would still be surprised if they would. Anyways I could see it work well as either a Stone Element or End of a Timber Beam. Quote
