I saw this on the site and mentioned it to the sales dept, it was then removed, I assume we will be getting it in August

We've got a topic for discussing availability and such right HERE!

Woah, lots of pages to read through :oh3: Out of the new sets, I like the look of the Grievous starfighter and Cad Bane's speeder (but is way overpriced), but I think I'll wait and see the reviews on all of them before deciding if they're worth getting. On another note I just managed to get hold of the V-19 Torrent set, for a very good price (lower than the RRP), somehow I missed getting it when it was still in production, but I really wanted to see how the wing functions work and if I could adapt it in any way.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but 8128 Cad Bane's Speeder is starting to appear in Targets in Silicon Valley (Thanks to ILikePi for the news). I called a few Targets, and eventually found one that had it in the backroom. I bought it last night, and am currently working on a review.

Will this be going in the reviewers academy?

Will this be going in the reviewers academy?

The Reviewers Academy is mainly a place for students to work and learn, but many teachers use it as a workspace too. I'll put it in there first, and when I finish, bring it into the main Star Wars forum. The purpose of the Reviewers Academy is not to get a sneak peek at the latest reviews, but it is a benefit for our trainees, such as you.

Re: 10215 UCS Obi Wan's Jedi Starfighter - anyone think that the uk's getting a bum-deal here? Allegedly 95gbp compared to 100usd - is this how far TLG anticipate the UK economy will have sunk by 1st November?

Does anyone know when Cad Bane's Speeder will be available in The Netherlands (or already spotted) ?

No signs yet, nor online, nor in the stores. Not even dates mentioned. We'll have to be patient.

Hmm... even though I'm not very excited about many of this year's SW sets, I still haven't even seen any of the second wave, or even some of the first wave in stores. Usually stores (especially Target) are pretty good at stocking and putting out sets around the same time/ earlier than most places, but it looks like this year my area (SE Wisconsin) got screwed. default_sceptic.gif

Anyone know why this could be? Is it a distribution problem by TLG, or local distributors, or even the stores not stocking as much as they used to? Has anyone else (particularly in the US) had trouble finding the new SW sets?

@JimButcher

You'r right they're not in the stores nor on S@H at the moment, but internet shops have them over here (in the Netherlands). I thought they got their sets from the US as it is cheaper. Wonder why their not available over there? Another good point is why hasnt TLC hasnt made them available in general?

You're not the only one. I live in the East Bay of the SF Bay Area in California, and as of Monday my local TRU, Target, and all other stores still hadn't received the new SW wave yet. :sceptic: I'll be checking again tomorrow I suppose.

They have a street date of August 6th. Two of the three TRU's in my area still have them in the backroom. The Lego rep told me that they would not be stocking till August 6th.

Ah, thanks for the replies, everyone. I wonder what TLG is thinking, stocking these so much later in the US than in the rest of the world, and the Minifig Collector's Series isn't too easy to come by, either.

I wasn't aware of the street date, but it's good to hear that there is a definite time that these will be put out on shelves.

UK - new argos catalogue out tomorrow, they are carrying most of the new wave and a couple of surprises, but some of the prices are :cry_sad:

wampa attack £34.99

plo kloon SF £24.99

CTT £99.99

Slave I £79.99

Grievous SF £44.99

Cad Bane speeder £49.99 :cry_sad:

Palpatine shuttle £59.99

Tantive IV £129.99

AAT on clearance £24.99 :sweet:

Whole family went to Legoland Windsor Today and they had in stock the following:

Cad Bane's speeder £44.99

Plo Kloon's Starfighter £24.99

Wampa Cave £34.99

Midi Scale Imperial Star Destroyer £29.99

I'd not seen Cad's speeder of the ISD elsewhere.

This was in the Brick Brothers store in the City area.

The summer sets are available in the (toy)stores in the Netherlands. No sign on S@H though.

Strange that they removed both the USC Imperial Shuttle and USC Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter. Why would they?

And why has the Han Solo, Paploo and Biker Scout magnet set been sold out from the start?

So if I were to ask a TRU employee to grab me some of the new sets from the back room even though they're not supposed to be on shelves yet in the US, do you guys think they would give them to me? I'm inclined to think they would, but I don't want to have to drive all the way to TRU just to hear no.
