darkrebellion Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 The "2 rule" is so people don't buy as many as they can fit into a cart and turn around and sell them online for twice as much. They kind of try to give everyone a fair chance. I know is because this but I just think I had ever heard about this happened in-store . Quote
AFOL SF Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I also found the Republic Fighter Tank in my local Target store this morning, with the Agents set (#7?) which is a submarine and the Coast Guard platform set - all 3 sets selling for $49.99 each. Are these sets Target exclusives? I didn't pick any, waiting for my local Lego store to stock up. Quote
KimT Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Jeez. How long will it take before you guys notice this pinned topic? I've been merging waay too many topics there lately and still you don't seem to notice it. In order to keep this forum "clean" as in not infested by sales/trades/great deals and so forth all over the world, I've created the Star Wars sets anyone? topic for you to share and discuss availability and such. In the future please go there instead of making new topics like this one. Thanks for your cooperation "Madame, you have suffered an emotional shock. I will notify a rape crisis center" Quote
KimT Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 What, I post a topic saying that it is now avalible in the US and someone gets mad at me and deletes the topic ! Yeah right that's exactly what happened I merged it into the proper topic...you would have known, had you read the different topics in the forum. Quote
Knightsword Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 (edited) I have yet to see the exclusives at Target, but oddly enough one (Downtown Minneapolis) did have the I.S.D. at U.S. $99.99. I'm thinking it might be their big set for black friday. Edited October 21, 2008 by Knightsword Quote
Erdbeereis Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 As of today, no sign of it at my SuperTarget. No sign of the other Target exclusives such as the Agents and City ones either. Quote
KyoKyo Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 (edited) Just finished building it tonight! I know there are reviews out there already but it IS a real nice set. Everything fits nicely together and it looks great alongisde an AT-TE. The little cabin inside the turret fits both the driver and gunner and has a little window slot for the driver to peek out of, although you have to take the top of the turret off to get him in there. I'd strongly recommend it! Out of curiosity i checked a Target in robinson mall outside of Pittsburgh, PA and they had a few. Edited October 21, 2008 by KyoKyo Quote
Matteo Kenobi Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Could you tell me what that free Holiday Pick-A-Brick Box is exactly? Don't know exactly, don't live near a Lego store. However it seems like at Lego Store purchases of $75 or more from nov 1 to dec 24 you probobly get one of those free small cups that you can load up in the pick a brick section, all though since the person said while supplies last, it maybe some sort of special bag filled with winter related bricks or something. KimT Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Later today I'll merge this topic with the proper topic "Star Wars sets anyone?" Just to avoid the apparant misunderstanding that I've erased a similiar topic a few days back. So don't panic when this goes off the grid. It's still here, just in another topic Quote
slimninj4 Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 The pick a brick box is great. Can stuff a good amount of small pieces. Good thing I will be at the Disney World lego store next month. Much better selection than the one in Washington DC. Quote
-JD- Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 The droid gunship is now £17.49 at Woolworths. Quote

Ah, yes, I saw a catalog with those price cuts. I also believe that the AT-TE has gotten a $10 price cut (as well as some Agents sets). And speaking of which, I saw the V-19 at K-Mart for $65! Just how are they planning on selling that with that huge price leap?! Quote

Big deal. Now they cost as much as they do on S@H. As Jim said, the American TRU stores have that (and other Lego sales) too. I'm thinking about getting the Volcano Base (which is at $60) but I don't have too much cash right now. Oh, and btw, the Lego Store in Downtown Disney has loads of the Fighter Tank. I already got mine! YAY! Quote
MaxRebo Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 (edited) The droid gunship is now £17.49 at Woolworths. And now available as part of their latest 3 for 2 toys offer till Sunday. Edited October 27, 2008 by MaxRebo Quote
KyoKyo Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 They have Woolworth's in the UK? Havent seen one in the U.S in about 12 years. Kroger, a midwestern U.S supermarket chain is having a lego sale this week. The AT-TE was down to $60.00 from about $85.00! Most of the other sets were down in price too along similiar reductions. I'm not sure if its store-wide but several Krogers near my college have cut prices. Quote

Yep, I confirm that statement. I think they just got shipped, because my store was fully stocked with the exclusive sets. Sadly, I didn't have enough money on me to get it that time. Quote

JimBee Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Hmm, the V-19 Torrent's price seems to be rising. At K-Mart, its $63, and at Wal-Mart its $55. Has the TRU price gone up, too? I used to think that it was originally $40, can anyone confirm this? Quote
KimT Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 As mentioned in the 2008 Picture thread, this set is apparantly available. Could someone get me a few and a few V19's? Please pm me instead of replying here. Thanks in advance. And this is the other than the V19 that I'd like: Quote
