JimBee Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Can these be bought in the stores themselves, or just online? If I can get them in stores, I'd be happy to send a few out to anyone outside the U.S. Quote
Dark Brickz Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 has anyone in the u.s found those mini sets yet at targets? iv checked but nothing so far... Quote
Turaga of Force Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Hmm, the V-19 Torrent's price seems to be rising. At K-Mart, its $63, and at Wal-Mart its $55. Has the TRU price gone up, too? I used to think that it was originally $40, can anyone confirm this? It has been $55 USD since release. -ToF Quote
ROCON Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I know that wikipedia is an "unreliable source," but does anyone know about the new minifigures that are ariving in 2009? ( c'mon Kit Fisto :] ) Quote
JimBee Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 It has been $55 USD since release.-ToF Oh, thanks, but I'm sure that I saw them at TRU (of all places...) for 40 USD. Must have been a mistake. Quote

KimT Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Over here in the states, it has been pretty customary in the past several years for January sets to be availible several weeks early, by mid-December, just in time for Christmas. However, I talked to a Lego Store employee, who claimed that "everything that is coming out for this year is out, and if anything new is coming, it won't be put out until January 2nd" (not exact quote). This is very distressing, as I don't want the 'flying dumpster' Twilight or overpriced RGS for Christmas - I'm much more excited for the AAT, Hyena, Ahsoka's starfighter...has anyone had any info to the contrary? I hope these will be find-able in the States before the new year... Quote
The Rancor Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 (edited) I too second Darth Caedus' statement. I cannot provide an answer for the US, but it seems likely the sets might come out early because you already have Pirates, City, Creator and Racers. In the Uk we have nothing, as of yet. ( c'mon Kit Fisto :] ) We got Kit Fisto in the Jedi Starfighter with Booster Ring, it's still around $50 if you can find it (most of the stores around me have it) Some minifigs can be found in the 2009 set forum. Oky Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Hello there. I was wondering if anyone (in the US) has spotted the MTT set after Black Friday in a TRU store. You see, I got one on Black Friday for the discount price, but it had already been opened, so I'd like to exchange it for a new one as soon as TRU gets any. I haven't been able to find any in my local TRU, and it's out of stock on their website too. Now, I fear that the Black Friday sale might have been a clearance move by TRU. It would be odd, though, if they would stop selling it when Lego Stores and S@H are still selling it. So, please tell me once you see MTTs in your local TRU! Thanks. Also, has the Mini V19 Torrent been spotted in Target or anywhere in the US yet? And has the Mini Soulless One popped up anywhere at all? Quote

Was just at my local TRU on Sunday where they had 4 or 5 MTT's in stock. Didn't bother to check if the price rang up as $50 since the sticker said $100 and I had already bought some other stuff. JimBee Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 It was already open, you say? Does it have all of the pieces? Well, obviously not, if you're going to return it, but just checking. As for exchanging it, the customer service might not believe you... Saying you got an MTT empty box, and asking for another one for free. They'll probably think you're a con-artist.... anyways, no, I doubt that they'll have any MTT's for half-price anymore, but at full price, probably. It's worth a shot. Quote

Honestly, I haven't checked if all the pieces are there. I don't want to go through all the trouble of building it or checking the parts inventory just to find out that I can't build it. Besides, I don't want a Lego that has been played with if I can have a brand new one. And when I bought the MTT on Black Friday, I asked two or three employees if I can exchange it if parts are missing, and they said yes. So, I'm just gonna claim that parts are missing (which I'm pretty sure is true). If I can't exchange it after all, I'll just keep it, but it would be better if I could. Quote

Well, first of all, the Lego site does have the replacement parts category in customer service. Second, the parts are obviously still new if none of the bags have been opened. (have they been opened?) Don't see what else the problem could be unless you keep boxes mint, like I have tried to do. Not as easy as you would think. Quote

Well, an opened box (if the pieces look like they're there {check the parts inventory, and then look at the bags to make sure you have the pieces}) is better than not getting one at all, or having to pay again. Good luck on exchanging, though. Quote

Good luck on exchanging, though. I don't think that I would have to pay anything to exchange it. It would suck if I would. So, worst case scenario is that I just keep it. We'll see. Note, btw, that I am not trying to rip anybody off with this; I'm just trying to get what I deserve when I walk into a toy store and purchase a Lego: a brand new product. Quote
KimT Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 I have a spotting of the 2009 Clone Battle packs. My roommate was on the phone with his mother and she saw a battle pack in a Toys R Us in Maryland. I was a bit skeptical but she confirmed that it was in "a white box," "had the white guys from the bad movies," and also contained "a two legged walking thing." When we decipher the mom language it certainly sounds like the battle packs are out in some stores. Moved here from the 2009 picture and rumor thread. Quote
Oky Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 From the Sales forum: USA only: Toys R Us has the 7662 MTT for $49.99 today only, December 11. You need to get the coupon here direct from TRU. This is hotter than the Black Friday price, so move fast. Great, huh? I think my MTT problems are over! Quote
Matteo Kenobi Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Your predicament is an interesting one Oky Wan, but glad to see its still there, and if you get to exchange it you actually get $10 back I have to say when I went to my TRU the other day and they were there so good luck with them being in stock at your local TRU. Quote
Oky Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Good news, everyone! I stopped by my local TRU after school today and there were a bunch of MTTs left! So, I returned the opened one that I got on Black Friday, received $60 store credit, and got a new MTT for $50 using the coupon! Now I have $10 left to spend in TRU. I'll save that in case TRU gets the clone BP early! Quote
posades Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Someone has the Republic Attack Shuttle 8019?! Quote
darkrebellion Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Well almost every january wave SW set has appeared on eBay at he moment (The only still missing is the AAT ). Here are the links: Battlepacks Hyena Bomber Vader TIE RAS I don´t think anyone is going to bid on them considering they are totally overpriced and that we are just need few "days" to a possible release. Matteo Kenobi Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 We have the 2009 battle packs on Toysrus.com!! It is labeled in stock and says it can get there by the 24th! It doesn't say whether it is in stores or not but regardless its great news!! I don't believe this is old news, but if it is, just delete my post http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3326897 http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3326891 Quote
Oky Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 I went to my local TRU today and they had most of the 09 SW sets - except for the clone BP. Now I want to get one of the large ones, but I can't decide which one. Please help me make up my mind here. Quote
Tinn-man Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 I know people are finding 2009 sets everywhere, but is anyone having trouble finding 2008 sets? My target only has the 19V and Magna droid starfighter. Quote
