I don't know if this is the right place to put this but if anyone lives in Singapore could you reply to this :classic:

is there anymore 7681s (with Commander Fox) available in any of the toy shops in Singapore because my Dads going there soon in about a month and im wondering if there will be any there. My dad usually goes to Bricks World and ive had a look on there website but cant find any 7681s. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

CommanderFox

Yup. 7681 is still available at TRU as far as i know.

Its the only place to get it in Singapore as its a TRU limited editions. Brickworlds and other specialties stores do not sell this set.

Its available for SG$59.90. It was SG$49.90 for several months during their promo.

Not all TRUs in Singapore stock this set though, best get your dad to call TRU SG first to check which store has it.

That too. I'm sure they'll upload them when the sets become available to buy. It's not like they're secret sets that we've not seen before, anyway, so we don't need pics yet.

It looks like the new sets are being uploaded one by one. Echo Base 7749 is now available on LS@H Europe (Ireland anyway) for €29.99. Also when I search for the Endor set 8038, it comes up as an available set (€109.99) despite not appearing in the regular listing. I didn't try purchasing it as I acquired it in Gunzburg recently.

how come none of u r outraged by the Venator's £97 price tag?

I usually just shut up about prices but - this is clearly...wrong

How can it be £20 more than the gunship (oh wait - the gunship's price has gone up too!)

Do u think it might be a pricing error as with the Death Star?

I've decided to go for the Battle of Endor instead of the Venator. The price of this set is lower than I expected, so I'm pleased about that.

However, like the Venator, the price of the Echo Base set is higher than I thought it would be. They're not so far off what they should be, so I'm not "outraged". I guess it's just got something to do with today's economy. TLG has never stuck to exchange rates, so the prices of sets rise and fall each year.

1000 - 1300 bricks should transalte to about £70-£79.99 if we go according to last years prices

The economy hasnt changed THAT much for Lego...and if it has, surely it pushing prices DOWN (i.e oil prices down, consumer spending down etc)

I am just stunned by this price - i think the Venator is very average, but i'd pay £79.99 for it - I've got the money....but i just feel like i'm being cheated out of £97, esp when the Space Police sets are so much more reasonable in price...

Maybe you're right. Maybe TLG is just getting greedy. However, if they know many people will like this set for its design, its figs, etc. why not raise the price a little? They're still getting great sales as it's the first Venator with the first Palpatine and the first Senate Commandos; they're just making some more money of it.

On the other hand, it could just be a mistake that only time will tell of. I doubt this, but I have been wrong before.

You just have to ask yourself how much you want it. If you'd rather buy some better-value Space Police sets, maybe you should do that instead. :classic:

Gunship, Hyena Bomber and Ashoka's fighter have all been increased in price in the UK...

Because your currency is dropping fast compared to the Danish Krone and Euro.

I guess I'll have to go power shopping for LEGO in the UK soon.

You're still cheaper than here in Denmark, at least if prices could be directly translated into other currencies - which they can't (I know :sceptic:)

to be honest i hope thats the reason - because i feel like Lego is treating us like fools

...the Venator is more than twice the price of a brand new XBOX game - modern kids arent going to favour lego over 2 games are they??
