ILikePi Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 (edited) They didn't even have the Luke's Landspeeder at the Lego store. Apparently it's on "online exclusive", which really sucks. I'll have to check Walmart though.EDIT: Darn! The nearest Walmart that has it is 47 miles away. Grrr. 47 miles away?! That's horrible - the closest one to me is less than half a mile away!Your best bet then would be to use the site-to-store shop-n-ship feature at the LEGO Store. There's a computer there that you can use to buy things on shop.LEGO.com and get it shipped to your house FREE (using any other computers won't work, only the store one will). You'll have to wait for the next shipment of Luke's Landspeeders to come in mid-March, but if you really want it, this is probably your best bet. I can't find the online link to more info about this. I remember seeing it before, but I don't know where it is now on LEGO's official website. EDIT: Found it! It's actually called shop-n-ship, and it seems to have turned into the LEGO VIP site... Also, check out the bottom left of the December 2009 LEGO Store calendar (thanks to TooMuchDew): (I had to retype all of this since my browser suddenly stopped responding when I was typing ) Edited February 21, 2010 by ILikePi Quote
Darth Legolas Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Mine had it when I bought mine but I had to ask for them. Ah that explains why my store still doesn't have it. I think when the say "online exclusive" they mean "Lego released them too early and couldn't produce enough so we're keeping them online for such a significant amount of time people will believe us and not notice when they appear in stores months from now for only days." Inconspicuous Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 47 miles away?! That's horrible - the closest one to me is less than half a mile away! I'll check it out the next time I go! Thanks! Quote
BlueDragonZ Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 I should never have passed the landspeeder when I saw they had 50 of them at my walmart. (I was hoping they would discounted their exclusives like ahsoka fighter for $20) Now i don't know how long till the next shippment. By the way, theres no way of checking availability in stores in Canada. They don't even have lego for sale online after they started getting lego again.. Quote

Future74 Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 From the LEGO Star Wars 2010 Pictures and Rumors thread: I bought a couple of the new magnetsets (palpatine, solo) from S@H and they are all chinaplastic. As are the keychains. Aha so you're one of the reasons that the new magnetsets are sold out already Quote
Big Cam Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Has anyone recently seen Luke's landspeeder on any stores? It's like a saskswatch, you know its real, but you've never seen one . Quote

Oky Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Right now, in TRU stores (and online) in the US, you get a free Chrome Stormie in polybag with any LEGO Star Wars set purchase of $11.99 or more! Get 'em quick before they're gone! Now I feel kinda stupid having gotten the magnet set at its ridiculous price. Quote

I'll definitely have to go and buy something at Toys R Us. And no need to feel ridiculous Oky Wan - I own the magnet set and I feel the same way. EDIT: One interesting thing worth pointing out is that the minifig has a blaster rifle instead of a sniper rifle: Have a great Pi Day everyone! Edited March 14, 2010 by ILikePi Quote
Oky Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 You can also buy them for $2.99 each on the TRU website. Yeah, but right now it's out of stock. If they restock it, I'll buy four and get a fifth one for free! It'll be like buying a Silver Stormie Battle Pack with 5 figs. And no need to feel ridiculous Oky Wan - I own the magnet set and I feel the same way. EDIT: One interesting thing worth pointing out is that the minifig has a blaster rifle instead of a sniper rifle: SNIP Well, at least we're not one of those people who payed 20-30 bucks just to get it a few days early from Legoland. Hm, good eye. I would have prefered it with a sniper too (I have way too few of those) but oh well. Have a great Pi Day everyone! Hehe, you too. Quote
FilmGirl27 Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Will these be on Shop at Home? Please say yes. Quote
Oky Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Uhm, okay: "Yes". Seriously, though, I bet they wont, just like the chrome or any other promo. Quote
ILikePi Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 (edited) I've got a question to the people who already went to TRU and got their silver stormie polybag: Do they allow you to buy the polybags separately without buying any LEGO Star Wars sets? I would love to be able to buy 2-3 at $3 each at the store since, unfortunately, I already have the battle packs and I don't want to pay $4 shipping just for polybags (also, Oky Wan pointed out that they're out of stock online). Well, at least we're not one of those people who payed 20-30 bucks just to get it a few days early from Legoland. Hm, good eye. I would have prefered it with a sniper too (I have way too few of those) but oh well. Hehe, you too. One thing I learned when it comes to items that seem exclusive is to wait - usually they'll be available in larger amounts later on. Have a great Pi Day everyone! Destroydacre Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Do they allow you to buy the polybags separately without buying any LEGO Star Wars sets? The one I went to did, I was able to buy as many as I wanted for $2.99 each. I've heard other people say they asked and were denied though. Sounds like it depends on the store. Quote
