Legoman Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Brung over from the 2011 sets topic: From what I found out on the website Emperor got the link to the pic for Windu's fighter, it sounds like the set will be around $55 US, but that makes it nearly $74 NZ dollars which is insane. My guess is it will be around the Swamp speeders price. Hope this is okay and not off topic. CF Well, If it were $55US, then It would probably be $110-120 in NZ, unfortunately. It's just the way things are - exchange rates have no meaning in the world of lego. However, Lucky for you, Apparently it'll be $40US Which means Probably $80-90NZ, but that is still a lot really Quote

Brickdoctor Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Yes it is. I wish the cloning brands would hurry up and release lots of fake lego, then if TLG wants a market, they'll have to bring there insane prices down! CF This is where I think price-complainers are wrong. The fact that we are willing to spend enormous amountsnon LEGO when there is a cheaper alternative sets us apart from moat other toy consumers. LEGO is more than a toy; it's a hobby and an obsession. We are loyal to LEGO as a Apple and Microsoft fans are to their respective brands. Quality is always better than quantity, and TLG maintains that quality. Even their China products are a lot better than most Chinese-made toys. TLG does still sell many sets at reasonable prices, and even an expensive theme like Star Wars has gotten some good value sets. The midi-scale ISD passes the 10-parts-per-dollar ratio, and many other sets like th UCS Shuttle don't miss by much. Quote
Solscud007 Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 So after someone here posted pics of the BM SW book, I have been anxious to get it. Barnes and Noble say that it comes out in November. I just found it at Costco, sorry non US people, and it is only $14.79. Not a sale price, just their normal price. They also have the Castle book. I figured I would post this here as it is SW specific. Quote
