Skafte Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I was thinking $100 USD at most. 100€ = 100$ in LEGOs pricing. Look at the 10215 for a recent example. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 (edited) 100€ = 100$ in LEGOs pricing. Look at the 10215 for a recent example. Whoops. That's what I get for not doing my research. Hopefully, then, it'll be a $100 set. I was hoping for a $80 set, but I now highly doubt that. Though I wouldn't be that surprised if it was a $120 set, as is common nowadays for the largest CW Summer Wave set, or $110, like 8129. Edited June 13, 2011 by Brickdoctor Quote

So looks like itll be 119.99 at TRU due to their markup. Quote

If I buy it it'll definitely be from TLG, though. And I wouldn't consider a $120 TRU price reason to make the set the next member of the line of $120 sets. When I say $120 sets, I refer to the MSRP, as I'm sure many others do as well. Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Gee, it sucks to be an Aussie sometimes.......Germany - July......Australia - maybe late August, more likely....hopefully September. On super star-destroyer could Lego give seperate instructions to include or exclude the play feature ? May the Eurobrick be with you all ! Quote

George G. Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 If anyone is in the Salisbury area in the UK, I saw the Twilight 7680 in The Entertainer for £49.99, reduced from £79.99 today. It's been like that, literally, for over 2 years now, in every Entertainer everywhere I ordered it with free delivery through Amazon (because the Entertainer has a shop on there). It's a great parts pack if you want grey slopes and plates for MOCing. Although, I did pay nothing for it because I had £50 worth of Amazon vouchers Quote
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 7879 Hoth Base: I talked to a TRU employee, she said: Release date in Germany will be the beginning of July Pieces unknown Price 99,99 EUR greetings Hendrik A big thanks, Hendrik! Thinking of the pros: - interior with several different areas (some new ones) - a Tauntaun - new figs and new prints/hair - foldable, many features and kind of complete (heroes vs. villains) that pricing sounds ok. However, i expect the brick count to be around the same as 8038. If lower... 100€ = 100$ in LEGOs pricing. Look at the 10215 for a recent example. Yes, that is. With some exceptions like the X-wing at 49.99 USD vs. 64.99 EUR. AT-AT, ARC-170, Slave I and some more have ~ +10 EUR vs. the USD price. Now think of the exchange values at around 1.4 USD = 1 EUR. I'll better drop that topic now *ahem*. 100 from Lego possibly, but isn't it a Limited Edition? So looks like itll be 119.99 at TRU due to their markup. Well, Hendrik told us that he had spoken to an TRU employee. I'd judge the statement to be TRU's price then. People overseas will of course get it at a lower price. Brickdoctor's guess at 80 USD sounds pretty educated. Wait for BOGO 50% or B2BO free, then sell extra Sry but what's this? B2B is obvious but...? Quote

Brickdoctor Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Well, Hendrik told us that he had spoken to an TRU employee. I'd judge the statement to be TRU's price then. Now why didn't I notice that? So my hoped-for price of $80 could be true. I'm so smart. Quote
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Thanks @ ceroknight and Masked Builder BTW, dunno whether it was mentioned already - the summer wave sets are ready for preorder @ amazon.de. They indeed are scheduled to arrive on August, 3rd. Quote
wokajablocka Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 I saw the new Falcon @ BigW Australia on the weekend for $280 AU. Shop@Home has it listed for $249.95, as saving of $30. Might wait until they have free shipping or a sale starts in Australia before getting this must have set for me. Quote

Alot of Australians will either be waiting for sales, or buying internationally I think. Unlike BigW to have it priced like that, I am sure you will see it drop below RRP pretty quickly from them Quote
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 TRU International online shop sells LEGO SW sets at 50% off... Why the heck don't we get this over here in Germany?! Quote

Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 (edited) It's only in the US isnt it? Buy 1 get the second 50% off? Yes, you are right. I just reached the page via the international portal 'dot com'. But prices are outlined in USD. Yes, you actually need to get 2 for the discount on the second article. Checked it. A little misleading, isn't it? But you get the MINI lighthouse anyway. Sry, just spotted another one: bol.de online store now has the summer wave sets, too. They already show discounted prices and are scheduled to be available on the 26nd of July. Edited June 15, 2011 by Ki-Adi-Mundi Quote
Future74 Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 For dutch people... the new wave. www.a-tembo.nl 7956 Ewok Attack € 20,95 7957 Dathomir Speeder € 20,95 7959 Geonosian Starfighter € 31,95 7961 Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator € 55,95 7962 Anakin's and Sebulba's Podracers € 81,95 7964 Republic Frigate € 102,95 7965 Millennium Falcon € 126,95 Quote
TheBrickDaddy Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 So still no sign of the new sets at all in the USA? Also, the Hoth Base is highly likely to be the TRU exclusive, so unfortunately it will be the usual $110 USD... Quote

Brickdoctor Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 80 bucks for that? I was think 50, max. Sheesh prices are insane these days... No, I think $50 is too low. I'm thinking 600-700 pieces, plus a few exclusive minifigs, so at the very least, $70, and knowing LEGO, I think $80 is estimate. Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Anyone hear price points yet for 7879??? Quote
