Faefrost Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 EDIT: Ignore the description! I changed the topic of this topic (hehe, lol) without redoing the description, sorry! I also didn't see the questions section.. Darn my haste. OK, It's Fifi. Since i'm going to Cali this summer, i'd like to bring back a.. souvenir, 9515 Malevolence, from the Legoland shop. I'd like to know just how much this set is priced there specifically, or the $120 sets in general. I'm going to save up enough extra cash for this beast. Thank you in advance, -Fifi In theory it should be straight up what the US list price is (plus local sales tax). None of the new Star Wars sets have appeared in the US yet, so we really can't know for certain if there will be any deviation from the listed prices. They should be here some time between now and August 1. (at least according to the Lego store dude I spoke with today.) Quote

Sometimes they charge extra for stuff at parks, but I've never been to any Legoland. And I'm going in mid-July, and yeah, if the Malevolence isn't there I'll probably just buy the Republic Frigate. Sales tax, in California, is 11%, I think. I'm in Oregon, so we don't have sales tax, which is a good and bad thing... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Sales tax, in California, is 11%, I think. Not quite, thank goodness. It was 7.75% last time I was in Carlsbad, if I remember correctly. Quote

Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Sales tax, in California, is 11%, I think. Sales tax in California varies from county to county (ex. Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, etc.). Quote
Lieutenant_Colonel_Fifi Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Sales tax in California varies from county to county (ex. Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, etc.). So whatever county Legoland is in. Thank you! (I don't know which county though.. GOOGLE!) Quote
Lieutenant_Colonel_Fifi Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Ok, new question -- at what time will the summer sets be hitting the West coast or the USA in general? Thanks in advance, -Fifi Quote
Tommy Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Ok, new question -- at what time will the summer sets be hitting the West coast or the USA in general? Thanks in advance, -Fifi Sometime in July-early August. This question was answered several times in this thread... Quote
Lieutenant_Colonel_Fifi Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Sometime in July-early August. This question was answered several times in this thread... I have very limited forum time today, as I am in the middle of many things at the moment, so please don't be like this as it's not my fault that I have to work. Quote
mutley777 Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 A real bargain is the UCS Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter on UK shop@home for £46.49!!! Grab this great set at this great price as I would think it is a clearance sale price! Quote
BrickPicker Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 A real bargin is the UCS Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter on UK shop@home for £46.49!!! Grab this great set at this great price as I would think it is a clearance sale price! That's a good deal. That set never got any love from STAR WARS and LEGO fans. Too bad, I thought it was a good value. Quote
Combee Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Looks like the summer sets are finally available in the US online at Amazon, Walmart, and TRU (watch out for the markup). Quote
Spider-Man Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 2012 sets are now available on Amazon for the US! Quote
Da Expert On Anything SWs Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Just to tell you Star Wars Lego enthusiasts in the U.S, all of the new star wars sets are out online at Walmart and ToysRUS. Here are the links, For Walmart, http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?tab_value=all&search_query=star+wars+legos&search_constraint=0&Find=Find&pref_store=2138&ic=16_32 For ToysRUS, http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?sr=1&f=Taxonomy%2FTRUS%2F2254197&kw=star+wars+legos&origkw=star+wars+legos&kwCatId=&view=all P.S. ToysRUS is selling LEGO Star Wars Palpatine's Arrest (9526) for $110 us dollars. I just bought Pre Vizsla's Mandalorian Fighter, can't wait for it to arrive! Quote
stackables Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 TRU has Palpatine's Arrest for $110. Set is only 645 pieces. That is insane. Quote
ghostmind Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 TRU has Palpatine's Arrest for $110. Set is only 645 pieces. That is insane. I just discovered this as well. Isn't the MSRP on this set $80, meaning a $30 TRU tax? Just greedy - I'll be buying it from S@H. Quote
Super Brick Collector Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 TRU has Palpatine's Arrest for $110. Set is only 645 pieces. That is insane. Ohh my goodness I didn't believe you until I checked it out for myself. And that's insane mark up and the sad part is its sold out. People like to give their money away. I could've bought another set with that amount. Quote
Spider-Man Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 And it is a TRU exclusive so looks like S@H will be the only other option. Oh well I guess I can always use the VIP points... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 As this is discussion about the specific availability and pricing of one set through one retailer, and not about the rumored price of an upcoming set, I'll move it to Availability. ...done. Quote
Da Expert On Anything SWs Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Does anybody know why Walmart and ToysRUS are selling the new fall star wars sets and lego.com is not? Quote
Spider-Man Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Looks like you aren't "Da Expert On Anything SW" When that happens it is usually just because they have gotten their shipments in and just put them online. S@H should not be much longer of a wait if other stores are putting them out already. Quote
