Considering tire size difference(buggy is 1.3x bigger) I think axle speed of both set is same is very slightly difference but almost same.

On 3:25, we can find additional output on backside of hub. It will be linked with side output.

What a rip-off! I expected this to be quite adequately fast, slightly less then the old Buggy motors from the early 2000s. I don't want to say "TLG has lost their way" but between this, the MP4/4, Countach, etc 2024 has been the year of fatally flawed LEGO sets.

In my opinion, I'd much rather pay $10 more for the Audi, and get cool looking tires, a fair amount of panels, suspension, and a much more fun model.

Absolutely, this set is, at least IMO, made for people who want an easy way in to Lego Technic. Kind of like Apple sending school's their computer's so that when kids leave schools they buy Apple products because they know how to use them.

Or buy all the parts without the new hub and cables and play with it manually.

Even if you don't need PU, Audi is very good parts pack (there are rven perfect differentials included)

The only 2 reasons I can think of for buying this set is for black 9 stud curved panels or for the hub and fiber optics. Also, a weird thing is that for optics almost bankrupted Lego in the late 20th century, why would they bring them back?

Hopefully a Space Shuttle remake.

I mean, the fiber optics were more expenses than the rep of sets that contained them. A space shuttle would be cool, to be a successor to 42182 or the old shuttle.

Well i wont say fatally failed i love the mack lr garbage truck it has so much alternative build potential and the garbage truck is so cool with the functions and another is the buggy and the boat and g wagen and the orrey and the space airplane and 42178 and city construction sets are cool and the notre dame and yes there is some stuff wich are bad but most of the stuff is great and i might buy city sets again

I agree, those sets and the new City sets are an exception.

Well here is speed build of this set this is maybe the first technic set to use architecture and ideas set style box 

It seems to me that Lego has stepped up their packaging on sets. It is also visible on the rover and the g500.

Can these type of boxes be easily flattened?

The light ”cables” in the rear (look funny, like some transparent rigid hose).

Good thing is, the fibre optics cables look like they can be easily replaced by 3rd party parts. In case one needs other lenghts, or they get damaged.
