Started as an attempt for SHIPtember 2023, finished just ever so slightly overdue.

The starting point was an experimental rough frame sketch using only znap pieces, no technic beams whatsoever, which was then reinforced with stacked plates all around (and on some internal nooks and crannies).
For 10.5 kg of plastic, the end result is surprisingly strong, stable, and swooshable.

For the exterior, the curved front section with trilateral symmetry was probably the most difficult to get figured out, but in the end I'm actually quite pleased with the results (although it took a bit more time than I would've liked...)

You used ZNAP for the structure?!?! Insanity. We need to see pictures of the ZNAP internals! Awesome ship. Lots of great detailing around the hexagonal core. Are those trans-red grills for the engines? The pilot seems to have been behind the stick for some time with that beard.

Loving the design of this, Really unique use of ZNAP pieces for the structure and great detailing all over. Well done.

Incredible work, thank you for sharing! The blue really pops so much contrasted with the red and yellow.

Love it. I like the 3-fold symmetry, that's hard enough and it shows almost no gaps anywhere.

The color scheme is very coherent and I like the subtle use of yellow and orange as accents. I think it has just the right amount of studs visible for it to work as "nuts and bolts". I especially like the red and gray stacked wedge-plates creating angles around the cylinders.

Having the whole thing supported by a Znap is a wonderful idea and sounds like a great way to use those pieces for what they do best.

 

I saved a few pictures to my local inspiration folder to look at for ideas for future spaceships. Little things such as the use of sand-blue grille tiles add a lot of detail. I hope to do SHIPtember one day.

The Znap interior structure, the design, the angles, the scale, the exterior appearance - just amazing in all respects.

Wicked! I don't think I've ever seen that many ZNAP pieces ever, nevermind in a single creation. Thanks for showing the framework.
