Space references in Lego video games

It was a very positive surprise when I discovered the playable Blacktron and Classic Space minifigs in the Lego Movie 2 game. I also like to play the original Lego Racers where there are many space minifigs and maps. What about the other games, do they have any space content?

Lego worlds has an entire dlc pack focused on classic space, I haven't played it yet but it looks like you can unlock all the classic spacemen and some vehicle builds, I'm pretty excited to get it but waiting on a sale, you can get the main game for under 10 bucks digitally and the space pack is like 4 dollars full price.

Lego Universe: Moonbase (a Classic Space world) made by the World Builder League, which has quests where you get the parts to assemble a 918 into a rocket called the 'Moonbase rocket'. It also has Grabbles, aliens inspired by Facehuggers from Aliens, but they also sort of resemble Fleebnorks (space fan-made alien creations from the early 2000's), but in tan instead of transparent colors. (links go to the LEGO Universe wiki)

That sounds very interesting and the game is also available for the Ps4 which I have.

Is Lego Universe still available? I found this information online

@SpacePolice89 The game was shut down in early 2012 by LEGO, but there is a recreation out there using files and assets from the game taken (I think) from an old discarded server. Now that it's gone open source, you have to download the server and run that while playing the game as well, but you will be the only player on that server. My brother is trying to get a server up and running for the three of us in my family that played it way back when. It may require some coding knowledge, as there as glitches and bugs to fix before you can play.

Hey I just wanted to let you know lego worlds is on sale for very cheap now on ps4, the space add on is cheap too. I started playing this morning it only took an hour to unlock the classic space area, it's awesome!

I'm glad to hear it, the controls are a little weird to get used to but it's pretty fun. The classic space worlds are the most fun, it's fun to build bases and towers. Collecting all of the discoveries is addicting!

I'm having so much fun playing it. I even got a trophy for launching rockets! But now I'm stuck, I need to build the communication station but I can't find it anywhere. I've been searching the caves and the surface but can't find it. I've opened all the chest I could find and still nothing. I tried to search online but only found an empty Reddit thread with the same question and a Youtuber with the same problem. Do you know where it is located?

I picked up this game, it's only a few dollars on instant gaming. It was not that well received by reviewers but I really liked the first Lego Movie game and the way the entire world was built out Lego. It's the only Lego game like that and is great for moc inspiration.

If you get stuck or an objective you need isn't appearing you can try generating a new world on the planet select screen until you get another classic space world. Since the worlds are randomly generated sometimes the objective you need just doesn't appear. It's a little bit of a weird system but if I get stuck I go to the planet select and just start creating new worlds until a new version of the one I'm stuck on appears.

I used to love playing this! I bought it specifically for the Space content. Even the cool spaceship you fly around in got a Space recolor, if I remember right.

There is a 2024 City Space themed game in Fortnite called Smoothie Odyssey but it's fairly simplistic.

I'm actually playing the main Lego Fortnite survival game right now and it's loads of fun. But there's no Space content in it.

Yeah the bad reviews made me skeptical but sometimes you have to take a chance. I see why it's got middling reviews, the progression can be wonky and it's a little glitchy, but the unique gameplay more than makes up for it. I think a lot of reviewers went in expecting something different, but I love it, there's really nothing else quite like the Lego games.

Let me know if you get it, I was stuck on the snow world for a long time, and then when I created a new snow world that one had the objectives I needed. Also if you see one of those hot air balloon guys selling a weapon with those white sparklles make sure you get it. You need a sparkling weapon to defeat undead enemies like zombie pirate and zombie cheerleader.

I've now done that but I only find random builds in the crates in the newly created Space worlds. In the original Space world I found only space builds in the crates but not the communication station.

I recently bought Lego Brawls for PS 5 and it includes a level called Blacktron. There it is possible to drive the 6833 Beacon Tracer and play as the Space Police 1 officer from the CMF series. One team is also led by Captain Magenta from Space Police 2.
