Jebbo Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 Shrimpcutter IJM 22 Black Jack It's been a really long time, my last topic was from the Noordborg in March 2022. Well sometimes you have those periods when you're not busy with Lego for a while. Especially if you have built a project like the Noordborg. But after I met a few nice international expo's (Belgium) I started to get the itch again. I always wanted to build a cutter and my sights were set on a shrimpcutter. This cutter made the news at the end of November last year because it ran aground on a sandbank. This was due to a heavy autumn storm. The ship is now finished and it is a pleasure to share it with you all. It's built in scale 1:40 as I always do. My apologies for the pictures, they could certainly be better The next project is the Ocean II, a coastal tug that has attempted to refloat the Black Jack. However, this tug also got stuck on the first attempt. So we are being creative again and more models will certainly follow. Greetings Jebbo Quote
BusterHaus Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Lots of great details in this model. I know it's not the same type of ship, but it reminds me of 4015, the first Lego set I got. Wonderful work. Quote
Paul B Technic Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Excellent build and such a great level of detail. Quote
