Posted May 13, 2024May 13 Here is my MOC of the Tower of Amon Sûl! Set #9402 never quite cut it for me. While the set is nice I feel the location demanded a larger parts budget than what was available. My MOC isn't minifigure scaled but rather scaled to look good with the minfigures included in the original set. The technique used for the rocks is the same I applied on my Rivendell MOC from 2014. May 13, 2024May 13 I like it very much. Also has the right size on top of the "plate". Surely with more stones there would have been a little more "height". But as we all know, more is always possible. The colour palette is very harmonious and the construction of the stairs is magnificent. Terrific!

Perhaps a future update will add som height, thanks for the suggestion!

I built a MOC of Weathertop based on the Weta polystone statue but in my attempts to capture all the details it grew to an unwieldy size. The size really allowed for plenty of details that I miss at my scale. The way the staircase is embedded in the wall and the much more rounded shape than mine are some of my favorite parts of your MOC.
