Creating a mult-sign signpost?

Hi there,

I am wanting to create some kind of signpost that will have 5 or 6 signs on, like a directional sign you would find in a town center for example:

 

 

What would be the best way to do this? I am thinking of getting the signage printed as small stickers and adding them to a flat surface plate. I think that size would be ok, but wondering if there are any other options for slightly bigger signage? 

 

I have come across this brick so wondered if having multiple ones of these would work?

I would use a stack of 1x1 bricks with a stud on the side, then use a tile for each sign.

I guess the question is what overall size do you want the signpost to be?  Different solutions if you're looking for something closer to minifig scale vs a foot-tall display piece.  The Flag 3x8 element you mentioned makes me think you're going for something on the larger side?
