SevenDeadlyStreamers Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 Hello, my name is Josh and I go by “Seven Deadly Streamers”. I have recently joined the Brethren of the Brick Seas with my sigfig Capt’n Tongs. I plan on participating in this contest, however I enjoy friendly competition so I will encourage everyone to do their best and give constructive criticism whenever I can! At start of First to 25 Challenges:
Mazin Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Count me in. That is if i'm not automatically disqualified for winning the previous edition ;) Not sure if I'll be able to participate as efficiently as the last time - can't believe it's been one year already! - but it was fun, interaction with those proposed sets and Builders, observing how those creation were changed, and sometimes had things here and there changed due to my suggestions, was some of the best time of the last year for me, and i always like this kind of challenge. Anyway, wonder what kind of entries participants with bring into the Eurobricks this year and will surely follow to see what they've got. Maybe i'll build something myself this time as well, if i'll have a chance to excavate my Legos from the attic :) At start of First to 25 Challenges:
Math Wizard Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 Not sure if I'll have time to build anything, but I can definitely take some time to creatively critique y'all. Can't wait to see the entries!-- I may find time to do a small one...we'll see. Anyway, about me: My name is Grant and I am an architecture student and particularly like medieval building, though the pirate theme is probably one of the runner-ups on my list of favorite themes. At start of First to 25 Challenges:
Garmadon Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 Ahoy maties! It looks like I may have forgot to register for this 'ere competition but I mean to give y'all a run for yer money! I'm this guy, one of the founding (and current) leaders of the Brethren of the Brick Seas and currently in leadership of GoH as well, and also the guy who does the contest round-ups for BrickNerd, so obviously when I laid me headlights on this contest it was one I waren't like to miss out on! Hoping to build for at least the large category too (I'm not sure I can manage keeping meself to 200 parts ), but I hope to encourage and furnish plenty of C&C to the other competitors meanwhile! All the best to ye all!
Horation Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 Hallo, Wie geht es dir! I am Horation, I participated in a previous contest, and was among the frontrunners in the creative critiques... until I dropped out for personal reasons. I have in the past been quite adversarial in my communications, so I forced myself to stop, hopefully I will be better this time around. Good luck to all.
Captain Pirate Man Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 (edited) Since I can't enter my builds in the contest (I blame YOU @Mister Phes) I will enter the creative critic portion instead. I am a YouTuber https://youtube.com/@mikeyjproductions?si=k3_wsWLgSa0oAsP0 and as such I might add a little video creation to my creative critic responsibilities... We shall see. But I will also provide the 1-3 sentences that our fearless leader instructed. Again I'm looking at you @Mister Phes I'll be looking for good STORY TELLING. I want to know what Steve has been up to!! Good luck everyone. Edited July 1, 2024 by Captain Pirate Man
Autumn Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 I'm more of an Adventurers or Sci-fi fan but this sounds fun and will have a go at being a critic. I'm also a bit of a lurker around here most of the time so it gives me some motivation to engage with others. Might even try to make something small using Stud.io (but not even going to think about the large build category, I don't have the level of skill!)
YellowFrog Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 Hi all, I'm interested in entering for the Creative Critic (Round 2 of challenges). Something about myself: contrary to most on this forum, I prefer a tiled-over MOC. Also, I was never into Lego in the '80s or '90s, so I don't have the nostalgia-bias that so many on this forum do.
BardDandelion Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 Hello! I'm an AFOL from Poland, mostly focus on creating history and fantasy MOCs. Currently don't have time for more builds (just got out of Summer Joust building marathon) but always happy to share my honest suggestions and ideas about fellow builders work.
Kwear Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 (edited) Well, I guess it's the famous tavern you have to go through when you come from a distant island, from France. I want to join as an editor for Creative Critic, because I have ease of writing, and because it takes less time than mocing. The pirate theme interests me since I am also registered as Brickpirate.net, a French forum born 18 years ago around the Pirate theme. Edited August 8, 2024 by Kwear
Christophh Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 Hi there, Lego Pirate Enjoyers! I came across this page today and i love it. I've already looked at some of these entrants and they look fenomenal! So, I am not sure yet wether i will build my own MOC or if I simply will stay on the Criticers side. I am very excited to give feedback to this incredibly creative builds!
EWay Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 Ahoy there me hearties! This sounds like it might be more my speed than attempting a MOC, as a baby and toddler are currently keeping me too busy for Lego. I'm probably not recognised around these parts as I'm really just a Town MOCer anyway, but Pirates is a theme close to my heart. My first ever set was Bounty Boat 6247 so it inspired a lifelong obsession with Lego! Can't wait to get critiquing!
