CaptainDarkNStormy Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Hello everyone, I'm active on the Pirates forum but this is my first time posting in the Town one. I've decided to tackle some modular buildings that will be compatible with my Pirate MOCs. My city of Charleston, SC USA is home to many historic buildings and I wanted to replicate some of them in Lego form, eventually creating a historical scene of some of the pirate raids of the 1700s. I also wanted to be able to display them in modern form as well. I decided to start with a colorful block of homes on East Bay Street known as Rainbow Row. It's one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city. On a nice day you're likely to see plenty of people taking photos in front of these houses. I've decided to focus on these 5 depicted below. The pink one is completely finished inside and out and sits on a modular compatible 32x32 baseplate. The blue and green ones are being constructed together on 1 and a half baseplates (48x32) and I have completed the exteriors on those. The last 2 will also be 48x32. I've ordered bricks in yellow and light nougat to construct them, but they are still in the early design process. Below is what I have so far in brick form. Here are some digital renders of the completed pink one. I have instructions for sale of the pink one on Rebrickable if you are interested in adding a touch of Charleston to your Lego city. https://reb.li/m/184815 If you are interested in this project I'll be making periodic updates on my instagram. https://www.instagram.com/captaindarknstormy/?igsh=MWIzdWRkYzl0bHJrYw%3D%3D&utm_source=qr Quote
