CDKiii Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 Hello everyone. i was away for some time, and i come back with new idea. I'm pretty sure lot's of people here prefer yellow than nougat, and love classic lego style. But i struggled between my love for lego pirates, and my obsession with french napoleonic grande army: the pirate musket cleary does'nt fit with napoleonic soldier (the barrel of the musket is like a trumpet). Lot's of custom manufacturers seek to recreate really weaponry but i find they go away from toys spirit. so i make half way and recreate lego musket, but fitting 19th century. i present you, the classic napoleonic musket (carabine and infantry musket): Spoiler Lego like musket by LA BRIQUE DE CAMBRONNE, sur Flickr (the last one is the genuine lego musket) the carabine version: Napoleonic area classic pirate lego musket by LA BRIQUE DE CAMBRONNE, sur Flickr Spoiler Napoleonic area classic pirate lego musket by LA BRIQUE DE CAMBRONNE, sur Flickr the long version for infantry: Charleville musket by LA BRIQUE DE CAMBRONNE, sur Flickr Spoiler Charleville musket by LA BRIQUE DE CAMBRONNE, sur Flickr Let me know what you think about ? That's absolutely correct! While the official Lego musket is not the real answer, custom manufacturers' options don't fit the Lego aesthetic because they are too realistic. Your musket is awesome and looks pretty much well-balanced. I still wish there was a possibility to somehow fix a bayonet on the official Lego musket... Quote

As the barrel is a standard 3.18 bar, i think every clip can fit on it. Some custom manufacturers have made double clip piece so it is possible to put a knife on it. And my bayonet fit on genuine lego musket Quote

kurigan Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 Neat! I feel a certain personal responsibility to chime in and show support here. Not everything needs to be hyper accurate or intricately detailed. I've been tempted in the past to just lop the bell-ends off the old muskets but could never bring myself to do it. These are a great compromise! Cheers! Quote

Cutlass is not a bayonet. I personally tried to stick a unicorn horn into the barrel of the official Lego musket, but it didn't hold there for quite obvious reasons... Quote

Aye, one could try gluing a knife to the musket. Alas, that would be stuck forever, double clip is a much better solution, even if it is not from LEGO. Quote

Yperio_Bricks Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Was browsing PAB a little and just came across this piece (new in 2023): Maybe cut it a little... and create a bayonet clip.... Honestly, if Lego can produce such a piece they can also produce a proper double clip! Quote

I wonder what they created this piece for... Quote
