Mandalorianknight Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 I gotta tell you, I'm not a big Phantom Menace guy. It's probably my second least favorite SW film. As a result, I was having a bit of trouble getting inspired to do something. But I do love Lego Star Wars, and TPM is why we got it when we did. So tapping into that, my phantom menace scene is based on the 1999 set Naboo Swamp, which is in turn based on the scene where Qui-Gon witnesses the invasion. I don't have a Jar Jar, so he's not here, but we've got the two central trees with the water between them, and Qui-Gon witnessing two STAPs fly in. I also threw in a droid squad in the background with the commander sporting an antenna like in the old lego games. Quote
CardinalBricks Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 This is a great little display piece. You did a great job updating the original set using modern parts/sensibilities, but still maintaining the essence of the old set—including the green whip was a great idea in that respect. Quote
