Aleh Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 (edited) Hello eurobrickers! Venatus - is a stunning tuning project of awesome MANSORY, based on Lamborghini Urus. This is one of my favourite SUVs ever, so I decided to build it out of Lego. This replica is my own vision and may have differences with the real model. This MOC has 4 x 4 wheel drive with complex suspension, inspirent by ancient @nicjasno works, V8 engine, a bit adapted 8 + N + R Gearbox by @Anto and a working gear shifter. To be honest I was thinking to build this car for more than a year, but the build itself took only half of the year. I hate modern white bars or stickers as a headlights, so I implemented them out of oldschool trans-clear parts, but the shapes are too far from the original headlights with Y-form inside. Maybe this is the only car here which uses 4 tyres and 8 wheel rims :) Please enjoy the video first - I did my best to film and edit it. And the original Mansory Venatus to compare (if I have something to compare with this divine project of course): And some photos of course: More photos: https://bricksafe.com/pages/Aleh/us_red_nose_truck/mammoet_sk6000/mansory-venatus-lamborghini-urus And instructions https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-185897/OleJka/suv-inspired-by-lamborghini-urus-mansor-venatus-edition/#details Edited June 23, 2024 by Aleh Title change Quote
Paul B Technic Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 I love the time and effort you have put in to this. Quote
Divitis Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Interesting model! Is there more to the suspension system than 'complex'? Did you arrange the geometry toward a specific goal perhaps? Quote
Carsten Svendsen Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 I don't understand how this suspension works, or why it needs to be this complex? It looks really cool though. Quote
Lipko Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Could you make some pictures from a distance? The overall shape is hardly seeable from the "stylish" shots. Quote

I took asa a basis a stuff from Nicjacno YT channel and tried to adopt to this vehicle. There where no specific geometry goals but some similarities withe the real cars. I will try to provide some renders of the suspension a bit later. For now I can say all whells have drivetrain, independent suspension, anti-roll bar, front axle gas positive castor (even too positive I guess) 3 hours ago, Carsten Svendsen said: I don't understand how this suspension works, or why it needs to be this complex? Simply because of fun - regular doublewishbone seems boring for me and I wanted something fresh to de implemented. 1 hour ago, Lipko said: Could you make some pictures from a distance? Aleh Posted June 16, 2024 Author Posted June 16, 2024 Guys, I got into troubles - there are no Harley Davidson wheels in the Studio.io I use latest version. How to get a new parts to the studio library? I didnt find a new Harley Davidson rear wheels there. Parts are 46334/46335 Thanx Quote
Lixander Posted June 16, 2024 Posted June 16, 2024 (edited) The only place I could find that wheel is the LDraw library - https://library.ldraw.org/tracker/25165, but most of the new parts you can also find on Philo`s page - https://www.philohome.com/studio/packs.htm Philo`s files already have the connections data, while the ones on LDraw rarely do. So you might need the Studio PartDesigner in order to add the connection points (it is not that hard by the way........you just open the .dat file and align the connection; you need some patience though). I also recommend to check how to correctly put custom parts in Studio, as I forgot how to and I can`t give any advice on that part :/ Edited June 16, 2024 by Lixander Quote

I took a rim fron this link which looks superb! Also I took a tyre, but it seems to be very rare and far way to finish, so I simply did my own tire in PArtdesigned and exported to Stud.io, already replaced unimog tires (tyres?) and started another render. Here how it looks on Unimog tyres. Quote

Aleh Posted June 17, 2024 Author Posted June 17, 2024 Some udpades - since I yesterday finished the digital version of the model, here are some renders. Playing with wheels Self-made tires and philohome rims. Despite the wheels are the same, the rear ones look too smaller)) Drivetrain (forgot to add rear anti-roll bar) Suspension Quote
Aleh Posted June 23, 2024 Author Posted June 23, 2024 (edited) The latest and I assume the last updates here: Front and rear suspension renders and stereosystem with 10 speakers https://bricksafe.com/pages/Aleh/us_red_nose_truck/mammoet_sk6000/mansory-venatus-lamborghini-urus And instructions https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-185897/OleJka/suv-inspired-by-lamborghini-urus-mansor-venatus-edition/#details Edited June 23, 2024 by Aleh Quote
