Same with the Sian vs Aventador. Namedropping random cars is not very relevant in my opinion. Well, since we have a topic dealing with second Ferrari (125s) it would be a real challelenge for Lego designers to make type 101 out of panels since you can look at discussion as "why doesn't Lego make some model that is often in media or evrn more iconic in technic line". The real contrast would be to make as accurate as possible model out of Lego that represents something that is made of pure metal...and btw there is probably a good reason why model that I mentioned is often called "the last true Bugatti". Damn, I hope it has adjustable suspension, anything to make it really unique compared to the Sian and SP3 instead of yet another boring functionless 1:8 dust collector. Quote

Duly noted. Let's try to focus on the McLaren again. Quote
lmdesigner42 Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 The real P1 has rear-wheel drive, which suggests that 42172 could reuse a lot of the suspension design from the Daytona, as it effectively incorporated the large shock absorbers and had similar size rims. Quote
NV Lego technic Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 I just hope it will not be just a copy-paste of the sp3... Quote

Since the leak of the image till now he has been faithfully doubting every aspect of this set- maybe for all the reasons he perceives as right/valid. Let the set come, all will be clear through the reviews and long-term user experiences. Meanwhile we will prolly be gonna see more detailed angles and sneak-peaks along with initial reviews. Another thing, I just hope unlike Daytona SP3 it won't have a botched manual. With a premium price tag everything should be as much finished for a set like this- from packaging to the end of building experience. Edited July 6, 2024 by thekoRngear Quote
NV Lego technic Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 (edited) By copy-paste I mean have exact same functionality, but better looks and refined mechanics. It has nothing to do with existiance. Edited July 6, 2024 by NV Lego technic Quote
MarkyMark42 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 You'd think with the 1st of August being only a few weeks away, details and images will start coming thick and fast. Even if it is a copy/paste of the SP3 scenario, it's been near on two years since I built that one so with my memory it will seem new again Quote

NV Lego technic Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 That was 6 years ago, and we haven't seen anything similar since. Quote

Maaboo the Witch Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 The set has been officially teased - here's the Brickset article. Quote
NV Lego technic Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 @kbalage I know, I just said that we haven't seen a knob operated function in this lineup, and the key in the Bugatti is closer to that than the lever in the Sian. Quote
