July 10, 2024Jul 10 @Ngoc Nguyen All I see is a pretty lame influencer video. For a proper speed build see Brick Depot's one posted earlier. 1 hour ago, LvdH said: I saw the drum that is used for shifting. Only in orange this time for some reason. It's orange because the profile is probably different from the Yamaha's. And there are two in total.
July 10, 2024Jul 10 Link to LEGO pictures: https://www.lego.com/nl-nl/product/mclaren-p1-42172 I think it looks really nice. But €450 is a lot of money, and not what I want to spend on a lego set... Also, the amount of pieces keeps increasing, and I'm not happy with that. This one has 1000 pieces more than the Porsche 42056, and I own that one, and it almost feels like a job building it.
July 10, 2024Jul 10 The guy who designed 42156 Peugeot also designed this car. Does anyone know if Uwa Wabra is retired from Lego? Nothing heared about him for a long time

I don't see it
July 10, 2024Jul 10 The clutch under the differential doesn't look promising. And the steering lock is extremely limited.
July 10, 2024Jul 10 There is new kind of clutch gear on mclaren. Looks like 12t in my eye. Source : NEWEST LEGO SUPERCAR! 42172 McLaren P1 Unboxing & Speedbuild - YouTube At 1:00 Yes. It's 12t 2L clutch gear. Edited July 10, 2024Jul 10 by msk6003
July 10, 2024Jul 10 Do you all see the new suspension control arms? Have I been living under a rock, or are those new? They appear to be at least 7 studs long, maybe even 8. They look great to me! Those new 12t clutch gears are fantastic! Some of us have wishing for such a part for years now. Kudos to TLG for listening. Edited July 10, 2024Jul 10 by dhc6twinotter
July 10, 2024Jul 10 And there seems to be a new suspension arm... Too late; please ignore... 21 minutes ago, dhc6twinotter said: Do you all see the new suspension control arms? I hope that differential could fit inside... ...to make narrow suspension... Actually it is very wide... Edited July 10, 2024Jul 10 by 1gor
July 10, 2024Jul 10 Guessing from the speedbuilds the suspension arms should be 7x7 studs wide and around 1,5-2 studs tall. The 12t clutch gear is a dream come true, I can't wait to get my hands on them and try building a compact dual clutch transmission

July 10, 2024Jul 10 Do you guys even read through the comments before you post the same thing over and over again?
July 10, 2024Jul 10 Does this set have adjustable ride height or not? Everything else I love, all of the flame yellowish orange recolors, the new 12 tooth clutch gear, the new suspension arms, the orange changeover catch, the black shock absorbers the door mechanism, the paddle shifter. the gearbox , all of it! :)

The promotional video is just very deceitful. Nothing more. 2 hours ago, Timorzelorzworz said: The guy who designed 42156 Peugeot also designed this car. July 10, 2024Jul 10 That guy with the inappropriate facial expression strikes again! I am genuinely IN SHOCK that they finally made a 7 speed transmission. It is not just a reskinned bugatti/laborghini/daytona, it is a completely new car and I love it! I love gearboxes, especially when LEGO Technic sets introduce some brand new types of gearboxes!
July 10, 2024Jul 10 I'm really liking this set, besides the fact that it's a P1. Way more curvy panels compared to 42056 and 42083, as well as new mechanical elements for the suspension and gearbox. I don't like the price tag though...

July 10, 2024Jul 10 Can't tell if the shift drum profiles are exactly the same or not, maybe they just changed the 45° axle misalignment. So, are you telling that we, the members of Eurobricks forums, delivered rumors and produced nonsenses for the last nine page of this thread? Be careful when you are talking that way that even if it is pointed lightheartedly. No, I am not even going to respond to your (or anyone in your defense) reply to this post if you decide to do so. July 10, 2024Jul 10 Looks like the exclusive laser-etched codes will be present as well, for that premium Certificate of Authenticity and those high quality wallpaper you get for free for 450 bucks. ;)
