Klaus-Dieter Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 (edited) As much a I would like new and more different and more seperate sold Trains sets, I fear that this won't happen (already) in 2025. Since these wild animal based sets have been selling very well, I bet that we'll see one more wild animal theme in summer - either outback, savannah or mountain/forest. Additionally I count on some nice new locations and buildings based on shopping, living, sports and recreation (like in summer 2023): some shops, a gym, a public swimming pool and a camping site, maybe? Would deffo get a gym since it's another hobby I have outside of lego One wild animal theme I completely support is an outback theme since we're overdue for a kangaroo Quote

Klaus-Dieter Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 As addition, I could very well see some sort of "one theme in one set" set like they did with the harbor this year: Airport: medium sized passenger plane (only six studs wide), freight helicopter, forklift, transport vehicle, mobile stairs, tower, airport building Plus with the Scrapyard, Lego maybe shows us that they could release more specialized sets in the future, too. So there could also be some more random things like a garage (for parking cars), a car factory, a chocolate factory, a building-up a solar power plant etc., don't you think? Quote

Lion King Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 I always hope for a North American forest/mountain subtheme so we can get moose, fox, goose, bison, buffalo, baby animals! Quote

It would be awesome to get those molds. Animal molds are the reason why most explorers subthemes sold. I say most because we haven't seen the Volcano experts subtheme in ages. I think that was a one and done. Shame because I loved the vehicles. I'm still fighting for an Outback subtheme revival so we can get bearded dragon and kangaroo molds. Yeah a Volcano subtheme was disappointed to animal lovers but i also love those vehicles too! Anyways, volcanoes are not very inhabitant-y so i guess we can accept lava monsters like power miner and rock raiders lol. Oh gosh, we do need Outback subtheme!!! Quote

Quote Additionally I count on some nice new locations and buildings based on shopping, living, sports and recreation (like in summer 2023): some shops, a gym, a public swimming pool and a camping site, maybe? I think a heritage site could make a cool one off set. They could go for a more ubiquitous vague sort of fort/ruins or go for something more specific like a castle, not like a whole castle but parts as ruins, a museumy bit, pinic tables, a gift shop a little cafe and so on. You could include visitors, reenactment knights, tour guides, gardeners and other staff. Quote

It would be doubly hypocritical if it doesn't. Of course, if Shell or BP threw enough money at TLG, I'm sure they would make an "exception" just like they do with the myriad of fossil-fuelled licensed vehicles they produce every year. https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/guidelines.page Avoid highlighting fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas (e.g. depicting refineries, fuel storage or gas stations). It’s acceptable to showcase historical methods of transportation that rely on fossil fuels (e.g. steam locomotives). Modern vehicles need to adhere to this guideline, therefore the propulsion method should be ambiguous if it is not a sustainable power source. When do we expect the nuclear fusion sets then?! ;) Quote

An Arctic train sounds great - it's something fresh which we haven't had before. I hope it'll be a mixture of cargo train and passenger train containing an engine with snowplow, a passenger waggon, a container waggon with Arctic explorer stuff and a flatbed waggon with an Arctic explorer vehicle. What do you wish and think it'll include? If done well, it would for sure fit very well in the Winter Village, too. Edited December 15, 2024 by Klaus-Dieter Quote

The Island Chronicles Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 (edited) I wonder what's in store for summer 2025. I hope they release a proper school building, unlike the one from 2022. Before pictures were revealed in late 2021 and they announced that it would be a two-story building, I actually invisioned the school building that was featured in the 2014 My City game. Boy, was I disappointed. Edited December 16, 2024 by The Island Chronicles Quote
