The summer sets seem to be the better ones. They often do the big vehicles in summer. I reckon we’ll get more construction vehicles following the recent success of this summer. I saw the Elephant sign on the wheeled loader. So I’ll expect more during the summer. Quote

I hope next summer isn't focused entirely on vehicles, unusual to see lego retiring the trains sooner. Maybe they're working on a new concept for future train sets?New components? In theory next summer will feature a brand new train line-up, a "My-City" type of subtheme, (I wouldn't expect a explorers lineup) and maybe a new air transport collection. But off-topic but Friends is getting a brand new Airport set, and it features many details that would be perfect for a modeen city airport, with a small jet instead of a huge plane to not bump up the price and not taking much of the set the way they did it in 2020 Quote

Murdoch17 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I don't know why, but I have a strange urge to take two copies of the go-cart ramp set and make an overpass to go over train tracks. Quote
lifeinplastic Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I like the idea of Lego releasing new train stuff each year but in smaller sets like a model railway. e.g. as mentioned above, individual freight carriages or specific additions like the Metroliner club car. in addition there could be track expansion sets with more variations like junctions, platforms, signals, invoices, bridges, stations… id end up spending more as I’d buy longer trains if there were compartments (I’d love to be able to buy more Orient Express carriages without having to pay for the front engine again). I still want Lego to do a post office. They are still relevant, especially in the US and UK. Also, make Octan gas stations relevant again! Edited December 3, 2024 by The Island Chronicles Quote

I won't expect those until February. But as far as predictions are concerned, given how well City has been doing with giving fans what they want during the summers recently, I assume we're gonna get some pretty good buildings this summer. The ones that we AFOLs would drool over likely won't be released until August. Lol Quote

BDP guidelines but I think it's safe to assume it applies to internal designs as well. It would be doubly hypocritical if it doesn't. Of course, if Shell or BP threw enough money at TLG, I'm sure they would make an "exception" just like they do with the myriad of fossil-fuelled licensed vehicles they produce every year. https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/guidelines.page Avoid highlighting fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas (e.g. depicting refineries, fuel storage or gas stations). It’s acceptable to showcase historical methods of transportation that rely on fossil fuels (e.g. steam locomotives). Modern vehicles need to adhere to this guideline, therefore the propulsion method should be ambiguous if it is not a sustainable power source. Edited December 7, 2024 by hrdknxbrix Quote
Black Falcon Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Even if they won´t depict that anymore,he was talking about a service station. Cars no matter which kind of power source they use still need to be repaired. Eitherway they can also depict loading systems instead, so I don´t see anything that speaks against those kinds of sets.
