Surprising that the Arctic Sets are said to be the only two since we would expect smaller Sets too. Quote

Also, are these the ‘interactive’/‘smart-brick’ sets (ew! 🤮), or a continuation of the 2024 jungle subtheme? If the latter, it would be nice to get updates of Pippin Reed and/or Dr. Kilroy (and maybe even Harry Cane, since the torso from the biplane soapbox racer is a good match for him!), though I would be happy with just getting more animals and vehicles (maybe a larger boat (possibly an airboat), a smaller helicopter, etc), as well as a jungle-fied version of this torso. 8 hours ago, Black Falcon said: Surprising that the Arctic Sets are said to be the only two since we would expect smaller Sets too. Where are you seeing this, or are you just speculating? Even if these are the only two Arctic sets for 2025, I would actually be OK with that - I like that LEGO has been making the exploration subthemes (Arctic, Jungle, Space, etc) as cohesive year-to-year as police and fire have been! In addition to a Space follow-up, a couple of Arctic follow-ups, (maybe) a couple of Jungle follow-ups, I am wondering if we will get a main exploration subtheme in 2025 (and if so, what it will be). I am leaning towards Underwater, since there is a submarine with a new colour-scheme and logo in the helicopter/fire truck/submarine modular mix-and-match set. 8 hours ago, Lion King said: But i feel we will see new animal like walrus or narwhal. Or ever orca calf. Orca calf and narwhal are a bit unlikely, since both of the sets are ground vehicles (rather than ships), though I can see a new walrus and/or some penguins appearing (and maybe even an arctic wolf, recolouring the CMF piece), along with a few reuses of the existing animals (polar bear/cub, seal/cub, etc). We might have a chance for aquatic animals if either set includes a boat, however. Edited December 17, 2024 by Classic_Spaceman Quote

BTW, do we know if there will be any additional Arctic and/or exploration sets? 60469 seems likely to be Arctic, given the proximity to ‘70 and ‘71 (both Arctic as well). 42 minutes ago, Lego_Minecraft_Goat said: One of the sets is a 50 USD Custom Police Car Garage or something called that. It seems like LEGO has committed to the modular customisable car system, which is nice, and a police garage is a new concept! Maybe something like 60389, but with only one car? 🤔 Quote

Next year's part count seems really low. Quote
karrit Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 I wouldn't mind the piece count going down in the Advent calendars if they would use bigger pieces. 186 pieces when the majority are 1x1 and 1x2 plates, tiles, cheese slopes, etc., would be pathetic. Quote

I mean, part of the challenge with advent calendars is that the format puts a pretty hard limit on piece size, since everything has to fit neatly in one of the little interior cubbies (and increasing the packaging size might have an even bigger effect on price than increasing the contents). Obviously you could use more medium-size bricks and stuff but anything that doesn't fit neatly through the cut-out door in the packaging would cause complications. I think part of the cause of the decreasing part count is the increasing number of figures, especially exclusive figures. But the flip side of that is that that's what a lot of customers seem to want—I remember a lot of complaining when the 2018 Friends Advent Calendar had a whopping 500 parts but no mini-dolls or animals.
