Hello guys.

I want to participate in a fan art contest with a blender rendering of a lego related to the subject of the contest. I want to use blender because the renderings are of better quality than with Stud.io.

Unfortunately, I have some problems:

- My pc is not powerful enough to run the mecabrick site with a big model. So I can't use their import plugin in blender.

- When trying to import the model through the Ldraw importer plugin, the model literally don't appear in blender.

- Finaly, I have a poor pc so I'm not even sure about the rendering quality that I would get.

That's why I was wondering if any of you would have the opportunity to do the 3d rendering for me. It would help me a lot and I would be grateful.

I can provide the .io file (or ldr if needed). Note that I use 2~3 custom parts in the model, I don't know if it will be harder to render.

Note : The contest ends on Monday 15th July. If you see this post after, no need to reply to it.

Thanks anyway, Blue

Maybe I can help. Please DM me to send your model.

If the imported model doesn't show up in blender, you probably didn't set up the Ldraw Lib in the plugins options(default location is C:\Ldraw\, but can be configured, official site is ldraw.org).

Edit: you also may approach me with the .io - I can dedicate my rig for some renders...

I don't know how I did (Im almost sure that I used the good location) but I'm always getting something like this. Maybe it's about blender and not about ldraw... I'm not good with blender tbh

The algorithms don't care. They may be slow as molasses and your machine could be running out of memory and crash, but if you turn on all the bells and whistles the pixels a given render engine will spit out will look the same no matter its technical underpinnings. Guess how we rendered stuff 30 years ago?! ;-)
