THELEGOBATMAN Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Apparently the sets will be revealed in around ten hours (according to lite). We'll see how much truth there's to this specific time, but I sure hope it's real. Dying to see those sets. Quote

I was expecting a 2PM reveal on monday, not a 2AM reveal. Thats legos usual time anyways. lets get our final predictions in then - Zanes mech - I think it will likely be extremely similar to jays mech, maybe with a shurikin arm instead of a blaster cannon. im really hoping the canopy isn't white though, as its incredibly basic. Really hoping for a nice recolour maybe in one of the azures because we haven't got that yet and I love building small mechs, and I need an azure cover. Lloyds Race car - we know it has a pull back motor, so will likely be blocky and not have any features. Im kinda hoping though that they go for a more off-road vibe given what we know about the season so far and the Core car being more road based (in its final form at least) Whilst we have seen the rest of the sets in some capacity, my biggest hope is for the combo mech to be fully transforming, no removing or moving parts to different parts of the build (for example, splitting Soras jet in half and attaching each side to the car to form arms, or removing Riyus head and putting it on the mech). a guy from somewhere Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 (edited) We have a 2025 set list from Fateful as follows - 30700 - Arin vs Dragonian 71838 - Kais motorcycle speed racer £9/ $10 71839 - Aries spinjitzu mech £17.99/$20 71840 - Rogue vs Drix race car battle £18.99/$20 (confirmed to be a 4+ set) 71842 - Rontu the master dragon (!!!!!!!!) £40/$45 (not a bad price compared to Egalt, maybe a tad bit small) 71843 - Rogues mech dragon £65/$70 71844 - ninja combat vehicle £75/$90 71845 - Lloyds transforming mech jet £90/$100 (this im hyped for, I have no idea if they will be able to pull this off without it being overpriced as hell) 71846 - Fire knight mech £105/$120 71847 - guardian dragon and temple diorama £135/$150 71848 - Temple bounty £180?/$200 Overall, solid wave. Rontu, Fire knight mech, ninja combat vehicle and Rogues mech dragon are my standouts. looks like my Wishlist/predictions were more a premonition! I'll be interested to hear what the guardian dragon and temple diorama may be, and Lloyds transforming mech jet being so high up on the list suggests its a decent size. I hope that the fire knight mech is a proper titan mech though, as being the 3rd smallest set is not where I would think to place a titan mech. Im assuming the Rogue vs Drix set is a 4+ just by the concept of a race car battle. Im hyped for a smaller bike set too, I know it's not most AFOLs favourite type of set but I like seeing what sleek designs they can come up with for a Kai bike. And of course my most hyped set, by a landslide is Rontu. I cannot wait to see how she looks, although I am a little worried about the transition between set and show. Now I got to pick up Egalt, ive been trying to snag one second hand but he is notoriously hard to find for a decent price. Edited December 1, 2024 by a guy from somewhere Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Wow, didn't expect a full 2HY list just before the reveal of the 1HY sets! Overall, it sounds amazing. Much more variety than I expected. Lite was right though—there actually are four mechs in this wave. First of all, it's interesting to see that Rogue (Jay) will be getting his own sets—is he gonna be more of an anti-hero than a villain? Especially since he gets a mech dragon. Curious that he's fighting a Forbidden Five member. Rontu obviously is gonna be amazing, can't wait to see how she looks. Probably would look great when placed next to Egalt. Fire Knight Mech sounds awesome just because of the name. Very metal, the execution will hopefully deliver. The Diorama is a huge mystery. The Dragon Stone Shrine was essentially a diorama, but it was never named as such—so it's intriguing to see that this one is marketed like that. Wonder if it'll be loosely based on the new season (like the Shrine), or a regular set for it. The Temple Bounty is probably the rumoured Forbidden Five Bounty, but the name doesn't suggest so. Overall, really strong names. As I always get one set per wave (plus magazines, polybags, and 10€ mechs), I'll probably end up with either Rontu or Rogue's Mech Dragon. Either way, I'm already fully excited. Quote
a guy from somewhere Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 We got prices too, lemme update the list. But good god it's going to be an expensive year with the summer wave, march wave, winter wave and the crossroads D2C. Ive only picked up the source dragon and the titan mech from this summers wave! List updated. What a crazy upwards trend towards the end of the list! A $200 bounty sounds crazy, and also incredibly cool. Hopefully a full hull interior, flight mechanism and maybe even a stand? Again, im not sure how I feel about the £90 Lloyd mech, thats gonna be a crazy build. especially when the fire knight mech is £105. It may get a bit overshadowed. I imagine the ninja combat vehicle will be a bit like the land bounty, a bit of an all-round weird vehicle with a ton of crazy features packed into it. Certainly an intriguing wave, and one of my most hyped in years! Quote
a guy from somewhere Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 First set has been revealed by fateful 4plus training grounds. Figs look amazing, and i actually love the build. Very good for 4+. Couple more sets revealed on mastersofbrickjitzu story on Instagram. Combo mech looks insane! Still yet to see the race car, that’s the last one. Zane’s mech is up, storm village is up, and the weird storm rider mech set. Quote
Agent Kallus Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 (edited) The sets look good though TBH I'm not digging the suit design for the ninja. Seen more pictures. Arins suit is good. Pixal's figure is very white. Zanes mini mech is weirdly wide and has a different minifig than the dojo set with a silver torso. Really liking the Dragonians shame they don't get many sets of thier own. Interested to see the combo mech separated. Edited December 2, 2024 by Agent Kallus Quote
Lyichir Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 JB Spielwaren has pics of all the new sets. I like the new spinners and the combo mech. The others are pretty cool but not exceptional. Love Sora and Arin's new outfits. Quote

Meaf Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 New wave looks pretty cool, I like that Zane is getting a lot of love since he's my favorite of the ninja. It is a little funny that he doesn't actually come as a minifigure in his own combo mech, but considering that he also is available in a pretty decent looking cheap set I guess I can't really complain. The only thing I don't really get is why Lloyd has two sets that are basically the exact same size? It looks like it's two different variants of him in each, but I still find that weird. Quote
Fenghuang0296 Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 What is going on with the ninja suits? Arin’s villain suit looks like an ugly hodgepodge, Sora’s still using her 2023 garb with a new hood for some reason. Most of the main six ninja are homogenous, but Lloyd has a different outfit in the dragon set and Zane has an exclusive shirtless variant in the mech? If we have the budget for that why do we not have the budget for a new look for Sora? Did they overproduce her figure? If nothing else, I’m stoked to see Pixal back, and returning to her original purple colour scheme is a treat. The builds are cool at least, too. Arin’s jet is great, love the combo mech - even if I don’t understand what’s going on with Zane - even the Storm Rider looks surprisingly good, albeit hella goofy. I’ll probably wait until we’ve seen the later waves and know the figure distributions before getting any, though, just to optimise. Except the Combo Mech, that’s a top priority. Quote
mantax Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 The sets look great, Even the 4+ set is the best we had ever gotten. Zane's mech - I expected it to be just the Jay mech with some small changes, but It actually is a lot different from it which is great. An exclusive Zane is nice to get in a set like this. There's the previous Wyldfyre there, but she doesn't have the armor piece. Maybe it's not exactly how I wanted, but I guess it's at least something. I will probably get this set, unless there's a set I like from the summer wave that has Drix, then I don't think I'd get this. Lloyd's Race Car - It really doesn't seem bad at all. From the piece count I expected it to be quite small, but this looks good for the price. But the back of it is very basic, but it's a fine compromise. It's also weird that this set gets the new lloyd while the $20 dragon doesn't. Also I like the fact that it looks like a F1 car, we didn't get anything space related this year, but at least we will get this for next year. But still I don't need another lloyd car, so while the set is good it's still an easy skip for me. Kai's storm rider mech - I was thinkng about getting this before, since I do love a unique concept for this theme. But at $50 with 3 minifgures and 333 pcs it's a terrible deal, especially when the Ras and Arin jet is at the same price point. Ras and Arin's storm jet - It's fun that it can seperate into 3 vehicles, and it does look great, but I'm not sure if I'd get it. Zane's ultra Combo mech - I was uncertain about this set, but I can easly say that this set is just amazing. You don't have the rebulit the vehicles to combine them, which is a very nice surprise for me. The other problem that I had with this set were the minifigures, but with 1 more dragonian and Cole(who looks the best out of the new ninja) this feels great. And now that is the set that I want the most from the wave. But now I'm not 100% certain on that, since the summer wave sond great, but also it's going to be very expensive. Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 As a whole, I really love this wave—although some choices are confusing, and could be improved upon. The Spinners are amazing, definitely some of the best ones we've had in a while. So glad Sora finally got one. The Battle Mech is exactly what I expected—an ugly build with incredible minifigures. The mech is even worse than Jay's, I especially dislike the cockpit and the clunky arms and legs (well... so everything). But hey—Zane gets an exclusive variant, and it's a super-cheap way to get Wyldfyre and Drix. Amazing deal for 10€ The Pull-Back Race Car looks awesome for kids, but I couldn't care less about it. The Forest Dragon is amazing, but it begs the question of why they didn't make the Race Car for another Ninja (like Nya, who never gets vehicles!) so they could include a regular Season 3 Lloyd variant here. The Storm Rider is a cool concept, and an interesting-looking set. The minifigures are kinda boring though, so I also don't care much for it. The Spinjitzu Temple might be the best 4+ set I've seen in a while, if not ever. At first, I didn't even realise it was 4+. Including four Ninja is also very cool, definitely makes it a good purchase for anyone. The Combo Mech is just awesome. I love how well the build splits into four good-looking vehicles, dragons or mechs. The minifigure selection is really good too. The Dragonian Storm Village is the main set I will get from this wave, because it looks amazing. The minifigures are incredible—two Ninja (one of them being exclusive to this set), two Dragonians, exclusive Morro, and exclusive Rogue? Wow. Jay looks particularly marvellous, I'm in love with his outfit. The build is kind of empty unfortunately, but it's good-looking nonetheless. Quote
Fenghuang0296 Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Y’now, as a Power Rangers and Super Sentai fan who loves combining robots, something baffles me; in this wave, accompanying the Combo Mech, we have a green dragon who is the same size as the new Riyu (same head and wing pieces too), and the jet that splits/combines into three. Ras’ little dragon glider thing also uses that same head part. Why is there no cross-compatibility? It would have been easy to design the jet so that part of it could split off and further augment the Mech, or slightly modify the Forest Dragon to be able to take Riyu’s place as part of the mech. More playability, more incentive to buy more sets. It seems so obvious? Quote
FinlayTheFaithful Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Yeah, I honestly feel like they should have recolored the pull-back motor for Lloyd's car, or atleast gave it another play feature like some stud shooters Quote
mantax Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 I really would have preferred for the summer set names to be revealed a bit later. Since this day is already very exciting because of the set images, and then the names would have made a different day better, that really is too much stuff to get excited about for just one day. Just when I thought the previous summer wave was expensive, this wave just tops that by a lot. I would only hope that the piece counts on these aren't too small for the price. But I'd say that the fact that there are that many big sets isn't bad, since there is a bigger chance for the F5 members to show up, and that is my second main goal for this year(Zane's combo mech took the nr 1 spot, since it is just too good for me to not get it) The Guardian dragon and temple diorama has to be the set that cought my eye the most. I absolutely loved the Dragon stone shrine, and dragons are my favorite type of ninjago set. This set combines both, so this set sounds amazing so far. After all this time Lloyd finally gets a jet, and not just a regular one this is said to be a transformer. I'm interested on how they could make that work at a $100 price point. Rontu was my main set prediction for the summer wave, so I absolutely adore the fact that she does get an actual set. The price might feel cheap at first, but Egalt had 532 parts with a small side build, so Rontu would have over 400 parts which would fit great with the $45 price point. The name Fire knight mech doesn't really give us much information, so that might be the set that I'm the least excited about at least for now. The ninja combat vehicle is a very generic name, so it could be a lot of things. I can see it being another type of combo vehicle, or it could be like the Land bounty, or maybe something like the Big trucks from the Agent's themes. Temple bounty doesn't sound like a name for a evil Destiny's bounty, but we did get some details on how it would look like, so it has to be that. $200 feels crazy for a non D2C ninjago set, but we don't know the piece count, so it might be similar to the previous bounty but they just made the price higher. From the name I could also see there being a temple side build, which would then explain the price. Also with that price I would hope that there are all of the F5 in this set, or at least without Drix, since you can get them quite easly. What is also interesting about these sets is that Rogue(Jay) looks to be against the F5. So I would be interested to see how he could work. Quote
Takanuinuva Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Unless we're missing a set reveal. We're missing 3 of the Forbidden 5. Especially since one of them was leaked yet doesn't show up in any of these sets. And weren't all 5 of them confirmed for this wave? Quote

According to bricksbymind, once the sets are up on Lego.com he’s gonna reveal Nokts elemental power. I imagine that he’s gonna drop a “I saw the sets months early at the LAN day” vid again like last year. Whilst my opinions on this concept are mixed, I can’t lie the fact we could be seeing an inhand video of all the new sets (and lots of info, maybe even some little leaks to the next wave) is incredibly exciting. Sure we already know next wave is the 2 dragons (3 dragons? Maybe? Kinda?) and the crossroads but it’s still cool. Quote

Zarkt is going to be in the march wave, then Kur and Rox would be in the summer wave. And that does make the perfect sense to introduce 2 members each for the bigger waves, and then the march wave has only 3 sets, so with that there's just one F5 member introduced. Quote

Agent Kallus Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 What's was the spring wave again? The winter wave is fresh on the mind with the new pictures and the summer wave just has descriptions. Was it just the Arc Dragon of focus, thunder fang chaos dragon and the crossroads or was there some cheaper sets too? Quote
