Major 2025 news from Fateful! Looks like in addition to the known 11 January sets, we’re getting 3 in March and 10 in June. I’m liking the sound of the “Arc Dragon of Focus” - I’m hoping a source dragon? The villains sound cool too, we’ve been talking about dragon villains for a long time around here! Plus the Forbidden Five. It’s shaping up to be another fun year!

The Ninjago 2025 sets just got so much more exciting.

It's great to get a villain dragon, The big evil dragons were always some of the best dragons from the theme(Nindroid dragon, Grief bringer, Morro dragon). 

The arc dragon of focus could be a Source dragon, and at that it would either be the Ice one(which I think makes more sence) or the water one. since we know the other ones. Or it might be a matriarch, since that word includes "Arc". Either way a large 2 headed dragon sounds great.

Now that's confimed that we are getting the F5 in the sets, and with that I make getting them all my main focus for next year. The dragonians sound fun as well.

-Zane's Mech battle doesn't really look like a good value for the price. But all of the minifigures are important named characters, and if you were to get these minifigures from the magazines then that would cost you $18. So unless these characters show up in a set I want, I'd most likely get this.

-Lloyd's Car feels like the most skippable set. The pull back motor does explain the ppp, But I've got 4 pull back technic cars, and with only 2 minifigures I don't see myself getting this.

There isn't much for the Lloyd dragon, but it sounds like an alright set.

Now with the March wave only having 3 sets I don't see it having different minigures from the January one. This year's march wave had the climber suits split into 3 regular sets and a 4+ one. But that one also had 3 more sets that didn't have them.

I believe the Arc dragons were mentioned at the start of the second part, being the patriarch and matriarch level of dragons. You have regular dragons, Arc dragons, then source dragons in the power sequence. Very interested to see where this goes because I was expecting to get the matriarch dragon as a set but now that we’ve seen the season, I don’t think that’s likely. 

Other than that, £20 for basicly the same set as Jays mech battle pack with one less figure sounds awful, but comparison is the killer of joy. Excited to get the F5 though. The storm dragon is in the colour scheme I NEED, such great mocing potential. Plus a villain dragon. The pullback car seem boring but the build may surprise me, good to see we are still getting somewhat new ideas though. I’m hyped for the Forrest dragon.

The next year is shaping up to be truly incredible. The villain faction sounds really unique, and getting the Forbidden Five is going to be so awesome.

Zane's Mech sounds so awesome—Wyldfyre finally appearing in a cheap set, and it also includes one of the Forbidden Five? Awesome.

The other two small sets are weirdly enough both Lloyd-focused with only two minifigures. All of them are really overpiced too—the PpP ratios are awful.

The March Dragons sound so good too. Finally a villain dragon, been a long time since we got one. I like how they're focusing on making the both sets connected (as in good vs. bad dragon).

I'm also surprised by the sheer amount of sets—24 in total, and the split feels much more fair too (since this year the June wave was noticeably smaller).

Seeing the list of sets, it seems like we have a bit of a resurgence with villains.

So spoiler time. I wonder if Ras is going to have a redemption based on the ending of S2P2.  Especially if he's doing spinjitzu in the 2 pack. I at least think this will be the start of a redemption arc. I think for part 1 and maybe part 2 of season 3, Ras and Arin are going to be the anti hero's of the story. Against the Ninja, but also against the forbidden five. I thin well also get Ras full backstory. Besides maybe his master but only time will tell. I also really hope that rumor chi will be tied to elemental powers turns out to be true.

I think that “Arc Dragon” is just a misspelled mistranslation of Source Dragon; ‘arch’ is a prefix that indicates higher authority (archangels vs. angels, for instance). Also, we know that Source Dragons embody attributes (Motion, Strength, etc), so Focus makes more sense for a Source Dragon than it does for a matriarch/patriarch (who seem to just be the leaders of tribes of dragons in the Merged Realms).

I doubt that he will get any actual redemption, but an uneasy alliance (which breaks down later in the season!) for enemy-of-my-enemy purposes seems plausible. 
Also, all of those rumours turned out to be fake. I doubt that Chi will have any direct connection to Elemental Powers, though it does confer the attributes of Source Dragons (Strength, Life, Focus, Motion, Energy, etc) when used. . . 

I am personally very curious about the Dragonians - Are they related to dragons (like Dragonborn)? We know that part-dragons can procreate with normal Humans (FSM), but their children look Human rather than dragon or oni; maybe Lloyd will have a Dragonian form, similar to his ONI form?
I also wonder if the Dragonians are a tribe from Chima/the Wyldness, since the Realm has dragons, and their description is as anthropomorphic creatures. Maybe the Dragonians were a tribe in the Wyldness who swore their loyalty to the Forbidden Five during their conquest, which is why they are coming into play as the villain army now. 🤔

The new villain faction sounds pretty interesting! Now I wonder if they‘ll reuse the existing dragon head piece (really getting their money‘s worth with that one, if so!)  Ninjago villains tend to get a ton of specialised pieces, so a new piece (or several) is probably more likely though

Depending on how far DR lasts I think its a possibility of a redemption arc. But i do agree at the end of either season 3 part 1 or part 2 an alliance will break down. But the real question is, Who will Arin go with?

I wonder if they could be the first tribe of Chima. At this point the biggest mystery to Chima is why was the landmass floating. I wonder if this is due to the F5/Dragonians?

It was quite a while since we got any new information on the sets(that was actually reliable), but now we finally have some. The source for that is some ninjago discord, which I remember also being the source of some previous leaks that ended up being true. So I expect them to be real, but still as always take it with a grain of salt.

March 2025:

71830 $40 Kai's storm rider mech 333 psc - Includes a mech with a golden blade, the bike form has tires to fold upwords to form a drone - 4 minifigures

This does sound very exciting. I expected that at least the arc dragon would be more expensive, but it's still close to the part count of the golden ultra dragon so it should be pretty big. With 9 minifigures for $80 and a unique dragon build, this has to be my most wanted set from the wave so far.

I wasn't too excited for the Kai mech but this does sound fun. It's said bike form, so that might sugest that it could be a transforming mech. But I feel like it's just going to be like the Kai's mech rider, because I really don't see it transforming from a mech to a bike and also having rotatable wheels like that.

Why is Thunderfang such a metal name for a villain dragon?

Since no source I know of has confirmed this, I'll take it with a big grain of salt.

Still, this wave sounds so cool. Thunderfang Chaos Dragon? I'm sold. An 80€ beige and purple dragon with nine minifigures? Sold again.

Hope that's true.

I could maybe see it, actually, if it’s something similar to the Mech Rider set from 2023 but with the bike having a more symmetrical design, such that it can either be mounted like normal or attached to the back of the mech as a jetpack?

The Arc dragon sounds quite interesting, I could definitely see myself buying that. Also, it's kind of funny that Kai's mech has "storm" in the name with how that's basically the opposite of his element.

Its so nice to have a march wave not filled with $120 sets  2 was just too much. But at least we got Riyu.

Probably becasue Tyranitar can  learn with a hear scale. It gives some nice coverage.

There's been a lot of rumours all at once recently, so I need to keep track them. I hope those ones are true, because the March wave will be amazing then.

I’ll be honest, a lot of rumours right now aren’t coming from reliable sources, we seem to be in a bit of a reshuffle with old leakers stepping back and new ones stepping in, however many are yet to prove themselves. I’d take all the current rumours with a larger pinch of salt than normal. Still, with so many reporting at the very least the same names I think those are really the only concrete facts.

I could see the descriptions being fake, since I just recently noticed that the IG screenshots came from an rather unreliable account, also the fact that the source was the discord while there were no screenshots from it itself was quite weird, since there was one for the thunder dragon.

 So that might have been fake, but the leaked $69.99 Thunderfang Chaos Dragon 668 pcs was a discord screenshot from an account, that gave details about the dragonians in late August, while fateful posted the exact description on the 4th september. 

 

My apologies, I should have been more clear. I posted what I thought were leaks, I didnt check. I wrote that message if anyone saw my original post, let me update it. Dont worry, thundering dragon hasn't been outed as fake.
