That is correct!  The prizes provided by LEGO cannot be combined with the self funded prizes.

I had trouble with opening domestic LEGO store website, so I went international, just to browse and see sets in 25€ range.

Has anyone claimed the remaining 1st to 25 prize? If not I think there are three contenders other than me.

Anyways, update, 1846 EST, 11-08-24, with a cutoff of 10 replies, and I've removed those who've claimed a prize :

Do these challenges cut off when entries close? Unfortunately, I was not able to follow this second round closely, as I was rather busy putting on that big international sporting event. :pir-laugh:

Yes, both Challenges and Entries close on August 17... which may or may not be August 18 depending on your timezone.

C'mon, just imagine an avalanche of fury which would come crashing from creative critiques. :pir-grin:

Next week, if time permits, I'm gonna revisit this design, check all the available parts on Bricklink, and make free instructions MOD of the original design on Rebrickable.

@Mister Phes, I think my entry ``steve's origins in the desert`` got to 25 two-sentence non-consecutive comments first, so I`d like to claim the prize (except if SevenDeadlyStreamers already picked his prize, in which case no problem, I understand I was late).

Aye, you probably did get there first, but yer didn't stake yer claim until hours after the challenges ended!

So that creates a dilemma as to what the fairest determination is.

Maybe this would be a good opportunity to test the Picker Wheel and let it decide.

Let's get @SevenDeadlyStreamers thoughts before proceeding...

We were sitting at 25 comments so I’m perfectly fine with the prize going to @Horation  

I was hoping they would make it to 50 before the deadline, so please forfeit my claim.

@Mister Phes, you are correct, this is because I'm assuming that in the end, every rational agent will end up voting in both categories, I'll add the bonus points at the end, so that way I don't have to double-check every time. Since, as I'm sure you are aware, this is a time-consuming process.
