R0Sch Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Fun fact: The last thing mentioned in the BDP Series 7 Webinar was that there are way too few submissions as pure Technic sets, so if anyone wants a 2025 fan-made set come to life, now is your chance to design one until end of January. BDP Team + LEGO "are definitely open to having more Technic sets...that would be really cool to see". If I had the time and creativity some of the fans here have, I would submit something cool that we never see in this theme, due to this ongoing trend that cars and licenses sell way better.BDP Series 7 Webinar Quote
msk6003 Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 (edited) Considering that from ideas to BDP, not a single pure technic model has ever been become product, I don't understand why they said like that. Edited December 16, 2024 by msk6003 Quote
Jockos Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 (edited) I'm afraid we won't see any Technic winners either in Ideas or BDP for a while, because Technic has less appeal to FOLs than any System-based thing. Unless TLG creates a space for 1 Technic set now and then in BDP, only System sets will be dominant. Edited December 16, 2024 by Jockos Quote

Yeah its sad that technic is kind of niche thing for most peoples i love technic i have builded since i was 6 or 5 years old but my little brother struggles with technic models he likes more studded lego builds and its kind of funny he is about same age(9 years old) when i started building 12+ or 11+ sets:) Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Both the Volvo L120H and its electric conversion can use the spade-nosed rock bucket in Farming Simulator, so the Technic version will probably include it again. Quote
Kostq Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 (edited) Just saw this. Re-did it in Stuido - let me know if there are errors.https://bricksafe.com/files/kostq/wip/421404-Fire Truck-RFC.io It'll possibly be on the next Technic magazine.https://bricksafe.com/files/kostq/wip/421404-Fire Truck-RFC3.io - green parts I'm unsure of LEGO SET 421404-1 - Fire Truck edit2 - I can't seem to get the axles in the cabin right - see the RFC3 file. 4L axles don't come in many colors, the cabin seems to widen at the back though. Gumalca Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Since the Technic magazine with the fire truck is available in stores now, there are photos from the last page showing the upcoming issue on the web. The extra will be a combine harvester. Quote

R0Sch Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 (edited) Found a larger image... if only those were the newer 45° knob gears in lbg, it would have been a much better parts pack. Edited December 29, 2024 by R0Sch Quote

Timorzelorzworz Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Knob gears with bars is not a bad idea for this little thing. Quote

Years ago, I tried using this connection of inserting a bar in one of the holes, and I believe I never got the parts separated again. It could be that the bar was transparent though (back from when transparent pieces were a different material), but not sure. In any case, I avoid the connection ever since. (I actually never needed it since.) Quote

Yes, these are very hard to separate with regular pieces and almost impossible with transparent ones. Quote

Any idea what that might be? Perhaps next big model? Or it might be mistake? Quote

NV Lego technic Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 2300 pieces wow! I really wonder what that could be. Seems similar to the LR defender or Peugeot. Quote

They've been phasing the powered up system out, and we haven't seen any leaks for patents for a new hub or anything. Like with the hub of the new porsche, we got some info about that a while in advance. I think it will just be some dumb car with an overcomplicated gearbox nobody will play with. Quote
NV Lego technic Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Not the mysterious set, but the wheel loader. And I don't see anything wrong with using the technic hub here. Quote
