It's not like TLG couldn't do a flagship scale forklift just because a copy cat company done one already. Besides, I would hope that TLGs version would be quite different. Real forklifts can move quite fast, this looks way too slow for scale speed and not mechanically authentic at all. Looks like a nice MOC, but a Technic flagship? They can do better. With new pieces and recolours, a flagship should be better than a MOC could be at that time. Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted January 2 Author Posted January 2 (edited) At 2300 pieces, it can be a RC Mining Truck. There hasnt been any Technic mining truck since 2016. The problem with a flagship forklift is the brand. Technic flagships since 2019 have all been licensed sets from popular brands. Forklift manufacturer brands on the other hand are less well known. AVCampos Posted January 2 Posted January 2 What functions could an RC mining truck have to distinguish it from 42114? Quote

Lego should have brought us a Liebherr T264 or T282 right the year after the 42100 was introduzed, but instead went with the technically more interesting Volvo (but left out the suspension...). Actually I still hope for some vehicle with tires from 42129 or 42160. Quote

msk6003 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 (edited) There is some overlap in the concept since a medium-sized wheel loader model is planned, but a mining loader flagship would be fine too. And if this year's flagship is construction vehicle, I want see tower crane. If it is not construction releated, I want see this kind of firetruck. Edited January 2 by msk6003 Quote

AVCampos Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Compact (without requiring bulky brick-built assemblies) pneumatic control from C+ would be cool, but that's already veering into wishlist territory. Quote

Unfortunately I did not make a digital model, so I don't have the parts number... Quote

Actually for me it is better that way; need some ordinary orange parts and I need one extra 3 x 5 L shape beam with alternate holes, so when it will be available I'll buy it (it is cheaper than minimal shipping costs) Quote
technicfan93 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 (edited) I think that the next 1:10 scale car is going to the the Cadillac Hypercar, because lego is going to release the corvette and Chevrolet Owns Cadillac so maybe the next 1:10 Edited January 4 by technicfan93 Wrong writing Quote
technicfan93 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 I don’t think it’s going to be the Ferrari or Porsche because they are all ready in the 1:10 series. And the Aston Martin Hypercar is all ready in the 60 dollar range. So that means that it could be the Toyota, Cadillac (I think it might be this one), Lamborghini, Alpine, or maybe the Acura from the IMSA series (Don’t think it’s this one). How ever it might be the GT3 McLaren( but I want it to be a Hypercar). Quote

It is 18+ set and piece count does match 1:10 scale. 1410 pieces for much simpler bodywork compared to Porsche's 911 with 1600+ pieces. Edited January 5 by Oh_Hi_Mao Quote
Jockos Posted January 5 Posted January 5 I think the Nissan Skyline will be in the scale of the Ford GT (1:12), because 1:10 cars tend to be in the 1700+ pieces range. Quote

Ha. It also seems to me that the 42210 (Skyline GT-R) is going to fall in the 1/12 scale category for its pieces count. Quote
technicfan93 Posted January 5 Posted January 5 (edited) The Nissan GT-R is going to be to the scale of dom’s Dodge Charger, but what do you think is going to the next 1:10 scale car. Could it be a trophy truck? That would also be fun of better. All 1:10 scale car have been racecars (that includes the rally car) so we can say that the next car is going some type of racecar. Any Hypercar or Trophy truck is on my wish list Edited January 5 by technicfan93 Quote

technicfan93 Posted January 5 Posted January 5 (edited) All for those in technic would be nice but Lego all right made all of them with system bricks. Edited January 5 by technicfan93 Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted January 5 Posted January 5 (edited) The next cheap car could be the Mustang Dark Horse. The blue color on the submarine would work well in this. For 1:10 cars, I’d love to see an Aston Martin Valkyrie in Dark Green Metallic or Dark Turquoise Metallic. As far as the flagship goes, they could offer a RC tellehandler. Four motors and a single hub would be enough for basic functions, especially if run through a gearbox. Boom extend, boom lift, fork tilt, drive, steer, and stabilizers could all be done with four motors. A tellehandler wouldn’t have that much bodywork, so I think this could be done with 2300 pieces. I think a backhoe could be done for 2300 pieces as well. 8455 only had 704 pieces. Edited January 5 by dhc6twinotter Quote

Not to mention 1:10 trophy trucks are nearly the size of 1:8 supercars. Source: I have two ~1:11 trucks atm and they take up a significant portion of my lego table. Quote

I don’t think there will be a Aston Martin Valkyrie 1:10 because Lego is doing that one on 60 price range and Lego can’t do the same car the same year. I now that Lego will not made a trophy truck but would be fun to have one. Quote

I have to disagree a bit :) Last year TLG did the Mercedes W14 F1 car in 2 sizes in Technic, and this year at least two F1 cars (Ferrari and Red Bull) will come in Technic and Speed Champions. Though you're right that close scales (1:16 and 1:10) will not be made simultaneously. Quote
