damjan97PL Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Hi. I want to show You my newest MOC, a 2021 Ford Bronco. Dimensions: -Lenght: 43cm -Width: 20cm -Height: 18cm When I bought a Lego 42160 Audi set I thought that a new tires from Audi will be fit perfectly on Bronco. So I built that. Front axle is steered by HoG, and we have a working steering wheel which you can easily detachable when you want to take off a body. In front suspension are double wishbone and new wheeel hubs from Audi. Rear suspension is a 5 link live axle. Of course like in a real car under the bonnet I mounted a V6 working engine. It has a two diff lock, central and rear. They are opearated by lever and red axle in the central tunnel. It has a low/high speed gearbox. Like in real car you can eaisly remove a roof and take off body from frame. We have a openable fornt bonnet, door and trunk lid. In cabi you can find a detailed interior. All seats are foldable. Front seats are slidable. Thats all, I waiting for Your comments :) MORE PHOTOS: https://bricksafe.com/pages/damianPLE/ford-bronco-2020 Quote
1gor Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Without roof is my favotite version. Your interpretation is instantly recognizable Quote
damian_kane_iv Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Very nicely done! This is a really clean Bronco model. One minor suggestion I would make would be to replace the black lightsaber bars in your headlights with clear ones Quote
kingiswide Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Really impressive short wheelbase version Bronco MOC! Real-vehicle-like chassis structure, Hi/Lo gearbox, and 2x diff lock are wonderful! Thanks for your sharing! Quote
proran Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 This looks most excellent. Super clean chassis, all functions one can think of are neatly implemented, the gearbox is in the right place as are all the levers. The proportions of the body look a bit off, the sides are tall and the greenhouse is low, but maybe it’s just me. I haven’t checked it against the blueprint. The front is top notch , though. Overall, a really nice job! Quote
Zerobricks Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 As others have said amazig job! Any way to use fenders and lips from the raptor instead of brick-built ones? Quote
R0Sch Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Nice one! Now do this as a B-model for the G-Wagon. ;) Quote
Jurss Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 Perfect build and functionality. I like that solution for headlight design. Quote
2GodBDGlory Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 Very nice! I'm happy to see a model of this cool real-life car, and this is done extremely well! Lots of detail with System parts, but also good, solid Technic functionality. Great presentation, too! 13 hours ago, proran said: This looks most excellent. gyenesvi Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 This looks pretty nice, recognizable on the outside, I like the mix of technic and system parts, and realistic chassis structure on the inside. I like the rear axle, this is what the G wagon should/could have had. Wish TLG would provide a solution for fenders on these types of cars. If only the fender flares of the raptor would be possible to mount without the fender piece itself, that would be a step forward.. Quote
Aurorasaurus Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 This is a really impressive build, the combination of looks and functionality is superb. Do you know how much it weighs? Quote

Divitis Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 That chassis is so elegant, it makes all the engineering look simple. And I mean this in the best possible way :) Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 Model similar to the real one! So many details and fantastic implementation of technical features! Quote
Fluwoeb Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 @damjan97PL, this is such a stunning build! The wheels fit really well with the Bronco style. It is immediately recognizable. The suspension and drivetrain look well designed. You have a great balance between detail and appearance and playability. Great job! Question: is that red axle connecting two u-joints for your rear diff lock 6 studs long? It appears that it might be fitting in a space that is less than 6 studs... Quote
burak Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 Especially the front looks instantly recognizable, great job. That ladder frame looks really clean, I'm sure it has taken you a few tries to make it so simple yet elegant. On 7/22/2024 at 2:27 AM, Fluwoeb said: @damjan97PL, this is such a stunning build! I'm pretty sure that's a red 2L and a 3L axle being held together loosely with a worm gear to allow slight longitudinal movement when the suspension is articulating. Very clever! Quote

Very clever! I see it now, that is very clever... I guess as long as the rear axle does not move frontwards/backwards noticeably, the red 2L axle should not slip out very easily. Quote

I guess that the inner piece is this 2x2 plate with round bottom but is the outer circle this 3x3 dish? And then how are the two joined together? With a 1x1 round plate in between? In that case, the inner one seems to stick out more than on the pictures. Or is it something else? Quote
