Objective: In pursuit of art plundered by the Empire during its rule. He believes baron Vonreg is the key figure to get access to the emperor's treasures.

Objective: Hired by Len'ya as a bodyguard, she follows his lead
Character: Xher is distrustful and cynical and an experienced fighter for her young age

Objective: Recently persuaded by his old comerade Len'ya to retire from retirement and help to find the imperial plunder.
Character: Bolt is an aged but legendary rebel spy who spent most of the last two decades undercover.

Character: Aves is a smuggler and seems to work for a mysterious client.

Name: Bizzy Walsh

Affiliation: New Republic
Objective: to follow her sisters footsteps and become a decorated fighter pilot.
Character: Joyful and light-hearted, she never overthinks the dangers of combat.

Antagonists:

Name: Baron Ezhugh Vonreg

Affiliation: New Republic and/or Empire
Objective: unclear
Character: Vonreg has been (pretending to be?) a fiery worshipper of the late Emperor.
Now that the Empire is shattered, he made himself indispensable for the New Republic.
Vonreg is an art lover and collector. He is ruthless and conspiratorial.

Name: Yulion-Paer Kuenaga
Species: Human
Affiliation: Empire
Objective: to flee from the ISB's grip on Coruscant
Character: The aged professor was member of Palpatines inner circle and served as curator of the late emperors treasures.
Following the imperial doctrine, he considers non-humans as second class except for their apex cultural accomplishments, that need to be secured for the empire.

Chapter 7 - Corellia Speeder Bike Chase

It's an early morning on Corellia.
Aves is playing taxi for Ward Len'ya and steering his Gliese tandem speeder towards the old Coronet industrial center, when they suddenly get chased by some relentless bikers.

 

» We've been compromised! «

» No. This has nothing to do with you! They are coming for me!
It's the Ban-Krieva-Gang! I've been smuggling for their boss and she thinks I still owe her some money. But I strongly disagree! «

» Hrmpf. Seems like she lost her patience with you. If we make it, I expect compensation from your boss for this incident! «

» Listen, I'm really sorry for this, but no worries. This baby has still some surprises left in her!  «

 

 

Aves manages to outdistance the biker gang and besides some scratches on his beloved tandem, he deploys Len'ya safely to his meeting at the docks...

 

» Mr. Karrde. «

» Mr. Len'ya. Good you made it safely. Aves already informed me via intercomm. «

» It was close. Too close. Your lieutenant nearly had us killed with his unfinished business. I expect you comepensate for his deficiencies. «

» I take responsibility for the actions of my personel. And I think you know that.
By the way, I just received the information from my crew, that some years ago, you and the Ban-Krieva-Gang had business going on too.
It's for sure just a coincidence and you would never set up one of my employees to undermine my position in our negotiations? «

» Of course not. «

» Right. After we settled on this, what can a ragged smuggler like I do for you? «

» You are too humble, Karrde. Jabba the Hutt's businesses were up for grabs and rumors say, an unknown organisation is taking over. I was maybe thinking you... «

» Haha, that's good! I'm not interested in a remote desert palace and a treacherous entournage!
Bib Fortuna, is the master of Tatooine now and he's already emulating Jabbas appetite, I heard. «

» Jabbas power structure was based on more than a palace and his obesity. We both know that.
Anyway. Do you have, what I asked you for? «

» Hm. First of all, I don't want to get roped into this war, Len'ya. I'm neutral. What you want, could affect my business in the Imperial sectors, if it comes out. «

» The Empire is no more, Karrde. You soon will be dealing with a bunch of bandits pretending to be the empire's last stand, while they squeeze the life out of the worlds they occupy.
The sooner they fall, the better.
We both expected a deal. It's simple. You have the information and the Republic pays you well. «

» Maybe. Still, I have a reputation to lose. And I don't trust you. Especially you should understand that.

I'm afraid, I cannot not give you what you requested, Len'ya. But I may give you the information on how you can get what you need. Provided you are willing to pay the price... «

I love that elevated road! It really looks like Corellia The speeders a built well. What i also like are the antennas. Also Karrde's hounds

Really looking forward to see how the story continues! (The appearance of Karrde reminds me of the fantastic German audio plays of the Zahn triology. Makes me want to listen to them again!)

Love this, as a speeder bike and swoop fan you've packed so much great detail into this. 
A great build of the blue speeder here and the elevated road looks great along with the decoration. It's the decoration I love, those details that don't need to be there but are there make all the difference.

Indeed, that was the hardest part. Those last 20% make 80% of work to make it look so that I'm fine with it

Totally true! The radio plays are just perfect! They inspired me to make my M4-24 entry and include Karrde for a cameo here!

I'm glad it's somewhat recognizable as a reminiscence to that Corellia speeder chase in Solo

Thanks! I probably should have mentioned a little bit more about them as not every visitor to the entry might know the background. They are Talon Karrde's Vornskr hounds named Sturm and Drang, from the original Thrawn trilogy by T. Zahn 

I used them already for the May the 4th contest and I'm quite proud of how they turned out in minifig scale . Here an additional picture:

By the way, small May the 4th reuse in Mysteries...  it's going to be 2x points here for the dogs, isn't it?  (well not if Dooku had the last say - you know, twice the pride, and all the rest...)

Yep, it's perfect!

For those who don't know: In Germany almost all movies are dubbed. The Thrawn trilogy radio dramas feature all voice actors who first dubbed the main characters of the original triology. That's what makes the radio dramas so special. For us Germans, all the original characters are present!

Bonus: the whole Thrawn trilogy radio drama in German is freely available at Youtube.

Your Karrde is very well done. Love the bridge and good work changing it up for scene 2. I think the plain baseplate detracts from the build. But it's a small thing. I would actually recommend using a blue paper under the bridge instead of the baseplate if you can't brick build the water.
