I hope we venture beyond F&F this time One of the limitations is the name of the theme itself. Otherwise iconic cars from well known IPs get disqualified just for that, like Mr Bean‘s Mini We've had a mini ((two actually, if you count the modified one) in Speed Champions before. So why not now?

October 7, 2024Oct 7 I heard that the rumor for the Tokyo Drift Lancer is not reality. The leaker has been busted for fake news, so this and the Icons Dachshund are disappointingly not going to happen.
October 10, 2024Oct 10 Looks like it's not just Lego releasing a full starting grid of F1 cars next year. Hot Wheels is doing it too. I suppose this merchandising push probably originated with F1, rather than being Lego's idea. https://www.thedrive.com/news/formula-1-hot-wheels-are-coming

As we're saying "If we don't know what is it about it mean it's about money".

It's not my top series, but it's certainly higher than anything F1 since the mid 90s.
November 21, 2024Nov 21 Hello everyone, that is the list of set numbers I found here: 2025 LEGO Speed Champions - releases and rumors : r/SpeedChampions March 2025: 77242 - Ferrari F1: 275 pieces, $26.99 77243 - Red Bull Racing F1: 251 pieces, $26.99 77244 - Mercedes F1: 267 pieces, $26.99 77245 - Aston Martin F1: 269 pieces, $26.99 77246 - Visa Cash App RB F1: 248 pieces, $26.99 77247 - Kick Sauber F1: 259 pieces, $26.99 77248 - Alpine F1: 258 pieces, $26.99 77249 - Williams F1: 263 pieces, $26.99 77250 - Haas F1: 242 pieces, $26.99 77251 - McLaren F1: 269 pieces, $26.99 Summer 2025: 77237: ? 77238: ? 77239: ? 77240: ? 77241: ? Since now we have 10 F1 teams planned for 2025, I highly hope that the second wave will include non-F1 cars. Update: after recent leaked images I can see the following highlights: New prints for the "slick" tires, now we have the full set of Yellow-White-Red tires. For sure, they all will have equal rubber))) New Helmet molds with small visors (IDK if it can be opened anyhow, or even transparent or just printed) New parts to make small winglets over the front wheels. The long 1-stud wide nose parts look too colorful to be printed and too accurate to be stickered. May they be dual-molded to better catch the livery colors? Please... Like 2024's cars, they all are pretty similar with the following differences: Livery (for sure) Slightly different "nose" ending - someone with 1x1 cheese sloe, some with 1x2 tile - the rest of the "nose" is the same as in 2024. Side pontons are similar but each car has a different building of them, with air inlets and outlets and side "skirts" The main air intake (behind the driver's head) is also different for each car. The rear wing looks the same but with slight changes for the leading central fin. Edited November 21, 2024Nov 21 by Void_S Added short description of discovered details
November 21, 2024Nov 21 From the leaked pictures, the new F1 sets appear to have wider rear tires. Pretty please... Or are my eyes deceiving me?

November 21, 2024Nov 21 New helmet mould for the drivers! While the piece might be dual-moulded, I see the same indentations on the ‘forehead’ of the new helmet as are found on the classic motorcycle helmet, so I actually think it will be a single-mould that can accommodate a standard visor (the ‘jaw’ of the helmet extends out far enough for a visor to fit behind it). If this is the case, then it means that trans-green visors return!! I am hoping that the F1 “CMF” line includes this helmet mould, and that it reappears in City, as I want to be able to pick some up (it looks very sci-fi)! November 21, 2024Nov 21 New F1 cars look good. I like that there is more variation in design than there was between this year's McLaren and Aston Martin models. I love the nose slopes, front winglets, fatter rear tires, and concave rear wing slopes. I'm surprised they haven't made a custom Halo part (as some other brands have done), and I'm not sure yet about the new helmets.

The kick up of the visor at the joint doesn't look like the classic visor? Or does it? The lip around that joint does suggest the visor can move though, which is interesting. Although would also make it fiddly to add in, as you'd have to do it from a certain angle and then lower it into the helmet. What is the age rating for these?

I actually was wrong - The helmet appears to be a single dual-moulded part. I still like it, but the usefulness is diminished. 🫤
November 22, 2024Nov 22 The F1 cars, Speed Champs. Do look nice. The Halo, on some cars, are a bit too low, vs the head of the driver. Blocking the view forward. I think I'll go for the hunt for 65578 Bar 1L with Angled Hollow Stud. For atleast some of the cars. The tires, could those come to Pick a Brick, or is it Bricklink that will be the way to get more?
November 22, 2024Nov 22 Author My thoughts based on photos on LEGO official website. Parts: Red 🔴 definitely new wider tyres Green 🟢 probably new slope (hope it's not sticker) Yellow 🟡 new panel? 4865 White ⚪ new tile half round? Black ⚫ totally new helmet (probably dual moulded) Orange 🟠 new pods above tyres Blue 🔵 I don't know hot to name it Purple 🟣 new spoiler part And telhe most disappointed part. Halo system is horrible. Why didn't they use part like CaDa did? Here photo from merlinsbricks:
November 23, 2024Nov 23 I’m not a Formula 1 guy in general but the Red Bull car is bad as. Will have to get them all nonetheless Edited November 23, 2024Nov 23 by MTBingNinja

Yeah, it's a clip with a stud on it (or stud with a clip under it, however you want to look at it), the Botanicals that got announced for January are using it too. I think the ends of the wing are normal 1x2 panels, they're just offset half a plate outward using SNOT tricks. The blue circle in Bartolomiej's post is a buildable figure finger, 3171. November 25, 2024Nov 25 50% gender-split like the City sets. Why not include both heads for every team to make it fair?

It's not a problem for me, just an observation. It's hard to tell from the official images since they hid them under the helmets so just letting people know. Maybe some F1 fans will only get their favorite team and would have liked the option to chose. The role-playing argument for kids was brought up by a LEGO Designer when asked why the real drivers were not included. An extra head instead of the usual hair piece would have been nice.
