Objective: Hired by Len'ya as a bodyguard, she follows his lead
Character: Xher is distrustful and cynical and an experienced fighter for her young age

Objective: Recently persuaded by his old comerade Len'ya to retire from retirement and help to find the imperial plunder.
Character: Bolt is an aged but legendary rebel spy who spent most of the last two decades undercover.

Affiliation: New Republic
Objective: to follow her sisters footsteps and become a decorated fighter pilot.
Character: Joyful and light-hearted, she never overthinks the dangers of combat.

Antagonists:

Name: Baron Ezhugh Vonreg

Affiliation: New Republic and/or Empire
Objective: unclear
Character: Vonreg has been (pretending to be?) a fiery worshipper of the late Emperor.
Now that the Empire is shattered, he made himself indispensable for the New Republic.
Vonreg is an art lover and collector. He is ruthless and conspiratorial.

Name: Yulion-Paer Kuenaga
Species: Human
Affiliation: Empire
Objective: to flee from the ISB's grip on Coruscant
Character: The aged professor was member of Palpatines inner circle and served as curator of the late emperors treasures.
Following the imperial doctrine, he considers non-humans as second class except for their apex cultural accomplishments, that need to be secured for the empire.

Chapter 9 - The Trip to Aetwelt

After his meeting with Talon Karrde, Len'ya returns to the Cloudrunner and initiates immediate take-off. Their destination is Aetwelt- a swampy planet in the Outer Rim, infamous for its slave market. 

While Xher is steering the modified YV-560 courier, Bolt and Len'ya discuss the next steps…

» Len'ya, why are we heading to Aetwelt? If you want my full support, you need to induct me into your plans. «

» I will soon. The task to recover the imperial plunder gets more difficult. First, we need to recruit another team member. A pickpocket. «

» We have already an assassin and now we're getting a thief!? «

» Remember, the Rebellion was once saved by farmboys, pirates and scoundrels. «

» Alright, alright. Who's that pickpocket we got to pick-up? «

» The best. And I hope we find him in Shag City.

By the way, Xher told you her story, didn't she? What do you think? «

» She wants Vonregs head. But there is more to it. I feel it. Vonreg took the ring of Nurbia, but where is it now? «

» That my dear, is the question... «

 

After a long flight, the Cloudrunner arrives at Aetwelt. The lush world features many extraordinary sites, such as the 16-thousenders - a supermassive mountain massif - or the gigantic river Tajkal originating there. Where the Tajkal flows into an ocean, there spreads a vast marshland with mangrove forrests as far as the eye can reach. It is inhabited by pirates, slavers and swampers, who harvest so-called swamp pralines, an important ingredient for special type of spice.

» Land a little bit outside in the marshes there. This sector is still under control of the Imperial Remnant and we don't want to attract their attention. «

» Land a little bit outside...pff! We are marching for two hours now and still 'bout three to go. The Squitos gonna kill us - if we not slip into a Greytors jaws first! «

»  Look, there is one of the swampers. Maybe he will share his ride. «

Indeed, the swamper is happy to ferry the agents to Shag City and getting some credits for reward.

»  Y'er luckey y'er found meh. Try to hold on somethin' when we bump 'em trees! «

Hello and welcome to Chapter 9. The heroes transfer to Aetwelt, a world that is not featured in any canon, but originating in a pen&paper RPG I'm taking care of. The next MOC featuring Aetwelts capital Shag City is nearly ready and I hope to publish soon!

Here another image of the swampers' swamp skiff. The idea behind was to make-over an airboat known from the real world Everglades to make it look Star Wars-y

It's really fun to alter "terrestial" vehicles and turn them into star wars-y ones .

For the swamp I bought a myriad of these olive trunks expecting one can connect them. Then I realized it won't work . I had to buy the brown pin connectors for the mangrove-ish trees. Painful lesson. An awful lot of the trunks were left over but they serve well as fleshy, alien plants

Ha! Totally forgot to comment on this. I love the swamp skiff! But it almost looks a bit overladen with so many people on board Also a nice shot of Xher in the cockpit.

Aetwelt seems to be a interesting planet! I might want to put a moc there too in the future. Can't wait too see Shag City!

Yes feel free to build there! It's non-canonic, as I made it up for my pen&paper RPG some years ago. There are some other points of interest as well.

For instance a camp of big game hunters in the misty rainforest at the foot of the mountains. Behind a large waterfall, a tavern for the knowing is hidden.

Or an exclusive hovering casino, cruising on the giant jungle river Tajkal, resembling a paddle steamer. 

In the swamps, it is said that a kind of voodoo witch is hiding, wielding the force differently than Jedi would.

Very nice looking swamp. Still not a huge fan of the plain baseplate, but it's used to much better effect here. I'm not a fan of the coonskin cap here, but that's a minor quibble.

Oh no, my lovely blue base plate!  Just kidding. Thanks for the feedback! I understand your point here and from the Corellia moc. It's a tradeoff. I'm aware of great water effects e.g. by @n1majneb with his ungraceful exit but transparent tiles add up! Right now I have basically none. But I found some good offers and will try to collect some. Next time maybe the water will look different.

Yeah, you can only build with what you have. No problem there, just thoughts for future improvement if/when you get parts.

I am sure the cap is made of synthetic fibers and not really is a ewokskin cap

Thank you for the compliment, if you live near a Lego store you can occasionally luck out and they have transparent pieces on Pick a brick walls which is how i have accrued a collection but you're completely right - you can only build with what you have and the builds you are creating are certainly great!
